But, 2-door Tundra is only available in 2-wheel drive, right? The whole TRD Off Road schtick is just very expensive 17" alloy wheels, a rear sway bar mod and some stickers, IIRC.

Will that be better to run a snow plow than a JK? I doubt it, but it's not my decision to make.....
Ya,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Butt the two wheel drive part is to the front wheels.

So I wont have any trouble pushing Snow, since this is a front wheel Drive truck!

TYVM !!!!!!!!!!

that would totally suck. If you have a load in back you won't be able to steer. I think tundras are rear wheel drive.

Tundras are deffinatly rear wheel drive, like any other 2wd 1/2 ton truck. Have fun in the snow, that power means nothing if you can't get traction

The only thing that would make this thread better was if the OP bought a subaru legacy and that was going to be his snow plow.

please post a photo showing the missing drive shaft to the rear differential.

Not hating on Tundras because I would buy one but still need to see the missing drive shaft to the rear diff.

Don't be so quick to judge...have you ever petted a troll? Ugly yes, but that means they'll usually do things you could never imagine

Nice. Can you get it with a three-point hitch so I can use it to plow and till? I might have to trade in the JK if you can......

Good riddens traitor!

And for a Japanese truck too, you should be ashamed. Wait... 2WD?? In the snow? I would think a locked 4WD would be better. Keep your Jeep friends close, you might need to be winched off of a snow pile.

I'll be getting a full sized truck pretty much the day the Jeep is paid off. It will probably be an F150. Of course, keeping the Jeep.

Yeah, I'm aware. They are also one of the only auto companies that didn't accept federal bailout money.

My wife does have a prius. Nothing wrong with it considering she has a long commute. I've just never liked Japanese cars much.

Bacon grease? I guess you'd have a lot of grease left over. That is, if you're living in a van DOWN BY THE RIVER!

What's up with the Jeep hate?? Come on, it's a wrangler forum. It's the OP's decision so we should support him. Don't hate on either vehicle. And for all you commies out there, my JKU was built in Ohio by American workers so don't tell me it's not American!

Gotta expect that when he posts a thread like this in a Jeep forum, it's not going to sit right with a few. Even the title is antagonistic.

Besides, I've heard terrible things about the Tundra. Don't know if they've fixed the issues, but I have a few friends that are mechanics and they all agree that the Tundras are junk. I think they were talking about 03-06 or around those years. No idea about the newer ones. I'll have to ask.

Plus, I can see trading in an older Jeep for something else. A '12 though? That's a complete waste of money on top of it all.

to you too then!

Seriously though, what do you think of as a full sized truck if not an F150, 1500, etc? I figure a Ranger is a mini, F150 is full sized.

rumor has it that the F150 is going to a unibody design, that will definitly put them in the "no longer a real truck" class.

A ranger is a midget, f-150 or 1500 would be mid-size.

In all honesty the 1500 and f150 are great trucks. If you want them to tow your jeep i would personally recommend a 3/4 ton truck or 1 ton.
