I hoping I just got a bad one don’t want to give up on jeep just yet. I am getting rid of my JKU sport.
I want to replace it with a sport with everything I want or a stripped Rub with hard top. BUT…
My sport has been a POS and I’m worried that it’s a “Jeep Thing” and replacing it with another one will just start my issues, and/or new issues, all over again.
5,600 miles, Manual Trans turned into a blender. Warranty Dealer replaced, fixed.

13,000 mile, Cylinder Head replaced (Check engine) Miss Fire number two Cylinder. Warranty Dealer replaced, fixed. Same time, E-brake handle failed, would not hold e-brake engaged. Warranty Dealer replaced, fixed.

15,000 miles, O2 sensor fail, (Check engine) low voltage number two sensor. Warranty Dealer replaced, fixed. Note: in California emission failure is not an option. No pass, no drive, The end.

I will say I have a very good Dealer service shop, I know, that sound impossible, but it is true. Everything fixed has been top notch work. But, I think they are getting sick of seeing my jeep in there, I feel like I have joint custody. It’s not like a bought a Porsha or a Corvette.

So you see my dilemma. I want a jeep, I just don’t trust it. This is not the best place to ask for advice like this, you guy act like someone slapped your sister anytime someone talk bad about their jeep, but every now and again…
So, what do you think, cut and run or dive in on another one?

I'm on my third Jeep and only because I tend to drive 'em into the ground.

'90 YJ ~200k miles on it and only had to replace the clutch a few times. I learned stick on this so it was really abused.

'02 Liberty , yeah I know it is not a Wrangler but we had kids and needed something a little more civil. ~180k miles on it no major issues until the head gasket went.

'12 JKU ~36k on it so far. I did have the "sand" in the coolant issue, but had the entire coolant system replaced under warranty. No other issues but I do have the lifetime warranty so not concerned.

-I will add that I still see both my YJ and KJ on the road as I sold them locally. The YJ was purchased by one of the mechanics at my dealership.

My current Jeep is Jeep # 30 for me. The only "bad" one in the bunch was a 1994 Grand Cherokee that would randomly stall in traffic, and Jeep couldn't figure out how to fix it. Otherwise we have been more or less trouble free. We've owned a number of GM vehicles over the years as well, and in general we have far more problems with anything GM than we do with Jeep.
