Paint Exhaust

Has any one painted their exhaust and under carriage to prevent rust. If so what did you use and can you post pictures. I was thinking about painting my under carriage and exhaust with a flat black heat resistant paint.

I painted the muffler with heat resistant Barbeque paint in flat black. That worked real well and has stayed black for over 20k miles. It got rid of the shiny muffler.
Didn't try anything else.

MTH has a write up somewhere about painting his undercarriage. I plan on doing mine once the weather warms up. Gonna use rustoleum bedliner on the undercarriage and the Hi heat rustoleum on any of the exhaust all because of MTH's advice.

Yes, I painted the undercarriage with Rustoleum bedliner and the exhaust with Rustoleum high heat paint. You can read about it here: (http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/rus...age-76918.html). Worked great. There's a pic of my muffler in the thread.

I used the same, except my muffler was more rust than shiny.
