Paint muffler?

Has anyone painted their muffler with high heat paint? Just wondering how it held up. My last jeep's muffler seemed to be covered in rust within 2 years, I figured by painting my new one, it might hold up better.

I have painted the exaust system up to the headers along with drive train with high heat silver paint! It looked very good and did it over a year ago and I did that on brush truck for the fire department. It looks the same as it did when I painted it! I can grab a picture of it if you would like! But you will get a weird smell for like a day but it will hold up just fine

I used the silver high heat for the welds on the muffler pipe.

Thought about painting mine but decided to buy MBPR Black Cat back exhausts. They look and sound great plus they gave me more performance.

Me too...$2.99 a can and enough to touch it up several times if needed.
