All Wranglers should come with D-Rings. Open tow hooks can be hazardous. One of the first things I change on my jeeps is the bumpers...partly because there isn't a decent looking bumper on any Wrangler model...but mainly so I can put some usable hooks/rings on it. I've used my D-rings as anchors on a few technical rope rescues...open hooks cannot be used in that scenario.
dropped off my front bumper and skid for powder coating today, and decided to let them PC my d-rings too, same color as my Jeep (deep cherry red)!
That is a good idea. I'll have to ask about that when I finally get to drop mine off for powder coating. A big YEAH for you on dropping yours off! I know your super excited to get it back!! Pics when you get it on your jeep!
Fwiw, I powder coated mine, maybe it may hold up better than paint?
Anyway, nothing fancy, just used the el-cheapo horror fright powder coat gun/setup... Been happy with it...
Hmmm.. Phone autocorrected harbor freight to horror fright.. I can live with that, it is close enough...
