Dunno. I'm pissed at JEEP at the moment. Been waiting on a pwr steering hose for a 12 Rubi. Evidently they have to reinvent vulcanized rubber and the smelting of stainless steel. So I am not a happy camper who is probably going to miss out on MOAB this coming weekend.

Hey Pat, I ordered a Crush Rubi from my local dealer on 4/14, but he says he doesn't have a VON or VIN yet...am I getting the run-around? He also said he had to modify an existing order to get mine in before they can no longer order. My thoughts are they've used up all their allocation prior to the 2013 conversion...am I right?

Any insider insight would be greatly appreciated...I'm nervous I won't get my Jeep, and be forced to wait another 3-4 months for a 2013, and may not get the color I want...HELP!

Wow... sounds familiar.

I ordered a '97 Sahara in April, '97. Got the order # from the dealer, called for statuses, they assured me all was well. Being the earlier days of the internet, I couldn't find an order with the number they gave me.

Well lo and behold, despite all of my calls, and their assurances, the order never made it in... and gee... now it's May, and they're not taking anymore orders for the year.

I ended up with the closest they could find to the jeep I wanted - biggest difference was color. Wanted green, got black.

But through a strange twist of fate, and the Lemon Law (could never fix the dreaded water leak)... I ended up with my '99 - exactly how I wanted it

Good luck?!!

Yet another JK complaint.

Here is the scenario...
Part 1: I emailed Jeep about a complaint. Typical..you can read my complaint far below.
Part 2: I posted said complaint on JEEP's FB account.
Part 3: I took the jeep to the Dealer and The service people there are Awesome as usual. The unusual part was the Owner himself was out to inspect the damage to my Jeep and drove it with me and found my complaint not just valid but beyond belief. He drives an awesome customized D8 btw. The owner is taking care of the repairs and damages. I was treated with awesome politeness and care.
Part 4: Check phone once back home Several hours later and looked at FB. Jeep had deleted not only my post but the photo. Jeep had NOT called, emailed or bothered to contact me in any form or fashion.

The below is my letter to Jeep along with the FB comments.

  • VIN CL134243

I've been polite until now, very polite. My Rubi is a rolling piece of crap . I live in Utah..you know? Big moutains, hills? I live on one. Parking brakes are important. Mine didn't work, so I took it in and they "said" it was fixed, it wasn't. So I took it in again and they "said" it was fixed again. My wife parked on the drive to the house. Did I mention Utah? Hills? Mtns? She parks yesterday evening, comes in and then sees the jeep rolling back down the drive wondering "Where is my husband going?" Then she sees me in the kitchen and goes UhOh! 2012 Jeep Rubi manual transmission, parked on the drive to the house, in gear, parking brake on, rolls down down the hill, between my snowplow "Which is an old 85 Bronco which knows how to stay parked" and a van also well trained, and goes down the yet STEEPER hill since its NO LONGER A DARN DRIVEWAY and is happily stopped by a tree. Current COUNT..Jeep: replaced U-Joint, whole damn transmission (still has problems with 4th), door lock button which should have lasted centuries, Parking brake fixed twice, hood bent !Forwards ! mysteriously by service from dealer that they won't fix by 3/8" of an inch, WHOLE 430N Radio replaced cause the original crapped out, back broken door restraint "I threw it out since why bother? Jeep can't fix the darn thing anyway..too much hassle", Fog light gets out..Me and the parts guy figure out for the whole blooming Chrysler factory that they have the wrong bulb listed *SCORE 1 for ME! yet I got charged $54 dollars when I saved you thousands. engine fire...I saved Jeep by using an extinguisher which comes standard on a Jeep D8. End of story is this...Parking brake fail on slope...ripped off the plastic fender I'm going to TRY to get mended today and it better darn well not cost me a penny. And the kicker Mr. Jeep Person? Award my tree a medal because behind it is a 150' RAVINE it would have fell into.

Thanks You Bastards for selling me such a lemon colored piece of crap built by drunks. (Insert for forum members...I do know some respectable drunks, no offense.)

On a high note, I love my 11' Chrysler 200. Probably built by hot chicks wearing tight spandex.

    • Tony Shipley PS, this letter just submitted to Jeep Cust Serv. Wonder if they will bother calling me anytime this month?

    • TravisandPam Bishop I too have noticed their parking brakes aren't much for "braking"!
