I'm kind of surprised none of you think that the six plus feet of chain right under the front surface of the engine just might be making some noise.

There are tensioners so there is so slack in the chain, the chain it self has followers or a guide rail that is pushed on by the tensioner

I have a 2012 with the same noise everyone is hearing. Odd thing is, mine does not make noise until it warms up and the noise gets louder with increase in rpm. Also sounds like a single rocker etc.?? Taking it in on Thursday, did not get a warm and fussy from the service manager. I recently bought it with 23,000 miles.

I have a 2015. I have random intervals if ticking after warmed up and at idle. Never had it before the first and only oil change. Yes, it is under warranty if something should happen, but don't like it. Only 5,000 miles and its rattling. Sounds like a common "issue" but I am not convinced it is nothing to worry about yet.

I have 51,000 miles on mine and have done all the oil changes with 5w20 conventional oil when the percentage was at about 5% and have a quiet engine. I think the milage has ranged from 8,500 to 9,500 miles between changes. The only time it is noisy is on start up when left sitting for a couple days, but only last seconds.
