Incredible. Where others goose the throttle, I slowly build rpm, and crawl anything.

Hows your car running after couple of months installed?

Pretty good numbers. I had vortech v3 version on my previous car but imo v2 seems much better.

Im sure you can push over 350whp easy in future.

Ok, Its been a few months, a few tunes, a few thousand miles, and here's what you should expect with a unit like this RIPP's SuperCharger for the pentastar.

First when you get it on, you will be SHOCKED at the power. Im not kidding, SHOCKED. The pentastar is a very good powerplant, the boys at ripp put it on steriods, and it loves the extra air.

You will drive like a nut at first. The power gushes all thru the powerband, but goes nuts over 3k RPM so your going to want to play there all the time at first. (Manual Trans) Your going to drive like a meth addict for the first few weeks or months. Its that much fun.

My truck makes about 340 horses at the wheels right now, and you can tell from the driver's seat. (35s, 4.10)

Once the smoke clears, and you settle down, you will return to your normal driving habits, and not flooring it over and over. You'll realize the power isnt just BIG, its Good. You will forget the SC is there, its an even power build thru the band so there is no spot where you feel the burst come on.

Outside the whistle sound, wich I think is super cool, (my truck sounds like an F-16) Its a pleasure in the lower powerband in daily driving.

RIPP knocked this out of the park. Remember, my truck took a BEATING in this situation. It was flogged on the dyno with pass after pass at RIPP while they were working out the kinks, then once I stole the keys back, I took it with an unfinished tune and drove it at 85mpg for 29hours (at once) to moab.

No one who buys this thing is going to punish it like we did, and it held up great.

At first I was apprehensive that I was going to ruin my truck doing engine work. I'd never screwed with an engine before. The end result is one of my favorite mods.

I'd like to see someone put one on an unlifted truck and see how fast it is, it will probably put down 360 on the dyno without the big tires.

Do you plan on doing a driving video? Would love to see how the power comes on, how it sounds while driving and such. I live in CO and the extra power would be very welcome!

When im finished with the stock RUBI, im going to have to find a hemi to kill.
These are some amazing numbers.
I personally own both a '13 JKUR and Ram (Hemi) and I'm wishing RIPP has something for the 13 ASAP!! When I hop in my Ram, it literally feels like a rocket compared to the JK. Mind you the jeep (once a RIPP is available) will have it.
I'm waiting on RIPP to dial in the final tune for the Hemi and my truck will have their kit. Already purchased and sitting in my garage.
I'm 8" lifted on 37's...
We can race then

I have a buddy with a 10 Ram and a RIPP kit and he is lifted on 37's and his truck FLYS

Keep us posted and I am subscribed.

So far still nothing.

In November 2012 I went on a pre-order waiting list told that the 2012 would be released in January. Come January nothing. Meanwhile the piggy bank is accumulating nickels and dimes for mods. Jan/Feb/March/April/May: nothing from RIPP. The piggy bank is bursting at the seams and a 10A comes up. Well historically this RIPP "thing" isn't working so might as well take the crow bar to the piggy bank and grab the 10A.

That was in May. We're a couple weeks away from July. Still nothing.

From the chatter on all the forums after a couple years now the RIPP SC is causing more problems than initially advertised. RIPP as well as HEMI swaps.

Too much too soon too early. Even with the 2012 Hemi's. Complaints are slowly creeping in. Funds to that date were available for either or. Fortuitously enough, the 10A won.

Positrak, the piggy bank will grow again, and you will itch for more power.

Secondly, when it comes to failures with hemis and supercharger's, my guess is people run them harder than normal. I struggle not to stomp on the gas, knowing there's a snarling devil lurking under my hood.

Vids coming

I spoke to the folks at RIPP and I am definitely on board with this as soon as it is ready. As soon as I can get one I will do a video of the install in my garage, step by step for all to see. I cannot wait to get my hands on one of these! By the way, isn't the new auto in the JK the same unit they use with their hemi's?

Amigo- it is time when all young men must become righteous men of legendary lore (think Hector and Achilles) and turn a truck from a docile lapdog into a raging rampaging KING KONG ON ACID MACHINE! I give you the NED Daily Driver Seris-- 1100hp and 1000 Ft-lbs of torque on Pump Gas.

MPG Update

Ok, I've done it. About a week ago I swore I'd keep my truck in the tac's green zone to give you guys an idea of the MPG increase with the SuperCharger.

Before and after install Everything on the truck is pretty much the same.

Before 12.7 mpg
After 15.8 mpg

Im figuring by the total miles traveled vs gallons required to fill again.

I should note, the After is Premium, and the Before is Regular gas.

This is a pretty good increase in MPG. Plus the added fun factor of power

I wonder what a 0-60 and 0-90 would be like with this compared to the LS 5.3 and 6.2. That would be cool to see. I am debating the LS swap next year, if I come into some extra cash.

I just got back from the PA Jeeps Show. Ripp had a tent there and the guys told me it would be out for 2013's in Sept. I got to read the instruction book on the install as well. It seem pretty detailed and had nice color illustrations. They said an 8 hour install is what is to be expected.

looks and sounds great

having been in touch with Magnusson I got a straight answer. there's will be available in October. While Ripps enthusiasm /was/ cute, when it involes time and money. Not so much.

Interestingly all these delays all seem to align with Diablo's tuning issues.

Word out there is that while the initial was released, it closed down again.

It would do RIPP a world of good to be forthright with what the delays and problems are. Simply brushing it al off as 'we want to give out customers the best product' doesn't cut it.

- Magnusson: point blank said nothing will be available until October.
- Ripp: mañana mañana mañana

The guys at the PA Jeep show told me the 2012's are ready to go. He said the delay with the 2013's is the with the tuning of the computer since it was backwards from 2012.

The difference between regular and and premium gas is $.20 and $.40 respectively where I live. I firmly believe forced induction makes almost everything better, but I am too busy enjoying the Jeep being the first vehicle I have owned where I do NOT have to pay for premium gas because it's required.

Still, just the sound of that supercharger doing it's thing just about makes me want to throw down for one

I would LOVE to see a Wrangler with a RIPP SC system vs. a stock Wrangler at altitude. That's where F.I. Really pays off!
