Pic Request: '13 JKUR Skid Plate Passenger Side

Hey guys,

Just wondering if one of you guys could look under your Rubicon and see if the skid plate on the passenger's side is pushed up real right against what it is protecting or not.

Took mine out to an off-road park and high centered it and I just want to see if it's just scratched or if it needs replacing before I go back out.

It's the front half of the plate that runs on the passenger's side and it seems to be protect a black plastic tub of some sort. Gas tank perhaps?

I'll post a few pictures tomorrow once it's daylight again. Thanks for the help!

To dark for a picture right now, but mine is right up against the gas tank.

IF your indeed talking about the gas take skid, the skid is the only thing that holds the gas tank in, so they should be pressed against one another.

Ah ok. Thanks for the info. Good thing I didn't just try and take it off right away last night or the gas tank would've come down with it.

I'll post a few pics during lunch or when I get home from work just so you guys can give it a look-see. Never hurts to be super sure.

Already planning my next trail ride! Gotta make up for not off-roading it the first 3,000 miles of its life!

I went offroading a couple of times last month and my gas tank skid is beat to hell. I even had a piece of log wedged in between the tank and the plate that was a pain to get out, had to loosen half the skid.

Anyways I am going to clean up the plate and spray it with rustoleum bedliner to prevent rust and call it a day. This plate was made to save the gas tank and is going a great job lol
