Picked It Up Yesterday

New 2013 Rubi. I wouldn't have picked the gecko color but it's grown on me- I like it. Options: power windows, UConnect, NAV (another item I would have passed on but I'm glad I have it), hard top as can be seen in the pics. Back seat has got to go- that comes out tomorrow! More room for stuff then. It's great to have it- been looking at inventory online for months. Wasn't sure I needed a Rubi but pleased it worked out that way. My first Jeep!

I like the way it drives. I live in rural Florida and its great on the deep sand roads. Easy to manage on the highway as well. Generally, pretty comfortable but that back seat is a joke (and it's coming out anyway.) first mod will probably be a Warn winch and suitable bumper.

Welcome to the forum. Nice Jeep!

Funny story. I was looking at the two-doors when I first started looking at Jeeps. The salesperson left me with the keys so I could check it out. It was the dead of summer (90 degrees...) and I managed to climb myself into the back seat to check out the foot-space, or lack thereof. The door closed, locking me inside the vehicle (I couldn't start it because it was a manual) in the back seat. I couldn't find the seat latch so I just knew for sure I was going to bake to death, and I couldn't call into the dealership to have someone let me out because my cellphone was in my car.

Anyway, I obviously managed to get out of the vehicle, but I just decided that maybe the two-door wasn't the best option for me. Not to mention, as you stated, the back seat is a joke, and then there's the "trunk," which is pretty much the "punchline." I'm going to wind up spending more to get my 2012 JKU to where I want it because of the longer wheelbase. I think the 32" tires on the JKU look a tad small, so I want to upgrade. Had I gotten the two-door, I'd think they'd look about perfect and wouldn't have to worry about it.

Nice ride. You'll have fun with it. My 2012 is my first Jeep, too...

That or Crush would be my jeep of choice. Manual or auto tranny?
