Thanks. I thought that it looked like a Sahara when I first saw it but was surprised how the color/looks grew on me. Looks somewhat like a Desert Storm vehicle. Very cool IMO.
Painted fenders normally weird me out but I like the look of this. I think because it's not on a 4 door. Wranglers always look better to me with 2 doors.
I know what you mean. I was expecting the black fenders and the black top and when I drove onto the dealership lot was shocked to see that it was all one solid color. It grew on me quickly and I really liked the look after just a few seconds. When I put my black fishing cargo basket with fishing rod holders on it with an ice chest and fishing rods, it's going to look even better!
I know about the mod addiction that occurs after you get a Jeep....been there, done that. In this case I I started modding before I even picked out a Jeep to buy! Yikes!!
Well....the question should address my first mods. The very first mod was a front traiLer hitch so that I can mount a rod rack/ice chest basket/cutting board for fishing trips. I also got handles for the driver side and passenger side to make it easier to get in. Also bought a Harken hoister to mount in the garage to remove the hard top. Took it in this morning to have it undercoated/rustproofed. I have some Weathertech mats on order and I will be installing a backup camera soon. Oh...I also have a Spiderweb shade on order.
I may wait until stock tires wear down before getting a Teraflex 2.5" spring coil lift and some 35 inch Toyos. I am going to see how the stock tires get me through the soft sand South of Malaquite beach on Padre Island. If the stock tires do well in the sand I will put off the tire upgrades.
