placement of subwoofer

K, I did try the search but nothing came up on this. I'm thinking about using a kicker 11hs8 hideaway sub. I'm wanting to mount it "in" the rear seat. By doing this I kill two birds with one stone. First it hides the sub, and second I think I can us the sub as a support for the middle of the rear seat since it has no support. I have not really looked at the seat so my first question is, is there enough room in the middle of the rear seat to mount this particular sub? And two, is this Kicker 11hs8 hideaway sub any good? I upgraded the hu to an alpine and I have a two door. I'll use quick connects if I ever need to pull the seat. What do you think?

I think it sounds like far more trouble than it is worth, besides you will destroy your seat. My sub is on the rear cargo liner and I can move it around freely, works for me.

My personal favorite besides a custom box like the JLAudio Stealthbox is the tailgate-mounted truck box. I've seen a few users on here do it and it looks awesome. You can feed the wiring right along with the harness that's already there and bolt the box right to the tailgate with a couple brackets.

Not many mounting options in a 2dr .. I went with the Infinity BassLink as it came with multiple mounting plates for different placements.
Its a great sub and amp combo all in one.

Thanks guys, I like the tailgate mount but with the seat in and the tailgate closed there's not much room. I'm goong to take a look in the seat and see how much room there is. That powered sub is only 3 and a half inches thick. I think I might be able to make it work.
