Wow I thought I hated the new Sahara wheels, but they look real real nice in Black.

I love that color on the jeep... you have done pretty much all of the stuff I plan on doing in the next year... just have to decide if its lift first then wheels, or the other way around...

Thanks dude, I would do the lift first then the tires. Just make sure you do the homework before purchasing. You can learned a lot on this forum, and ask plenty of questions and you should be ok.

My guess is that without the right prep it won't work right. I used a degreaser and cleaner, then final full wipe down with rubbing alcohol. Wheels were clean enough to eat off.

What happened to yours? Did it not adhere or did it not go on smooth.

Looks great. I'm new and I ordered the '13 Sahara in Billet, and want to get the same look. Do you have a lift? Did you dip the white letters on the tires.

That isn't my Jeep....but it looks like the tires were not dipped.

I'm also going with a Billet Sahara and plan on dipping the wheels. I think it will look sharp.

Oh man, Billet will look awesome with the contrast of black components like wheels.

PS - All the Sahara's (that I have seen) come with white lettered Bridgestone Duellers... it really sets off the black wheel in my opinion.

Did the same thing on mine last night (black unlimited with body-color hardtop and 7-spoke 18" Sahara wheels) BUT kept the lugs and the center cap chrome. Will post pics soon. Looks a bit more OEM with the chrome Jeep center cap...

Because most buyers won't care and the ones who do will replace them and keep the Jeep Wrangler aftermarket alive and strong. They know what they're doing

That's my Jeep! I love the look of the 7 spoke in Black! It was real easy to do. I did mine while I was rotating my tires, easy to do and totally changes the look!!

Has anyone done this with a gloss black finish on the stock 2013 Sahara wheel? I'd love to see pictures because I was thinking about doing the Matte Black with the Glossifier over it but I'd like to see pictures first.

I'd be interested in knowing how it holds up as well. I just did my hinges and was thinking of doing my wheels when it gets a bit warmer out. It will at least tide me over until I get my full new set at the end of summer!

I like those wheels dipped or not. I probably would not have upgraded to the AEV pintlers if mine came with the 8 spoke wheels. The dial a wheel looks like crap regardless...but it does improve it with the dip. Good looking white jeep...but I am a little biased.

I plasti-dipped mine this past summer. And so far it has held up good, even in the MI winter and the salty roads.

It is a spray on rubberized plastic coating that cost about $6 and comes in an aerosol can. I got mine from Home Depot. The nice thing about it is that if you don't like it, you can peel it right off. It's very easy to do.

No, no scuffing required. You don't want to scuff the wheels in case you want to peel it off. I just used some degreaser to clean the wheels and sprayed. Some people do it with the wheels still on the Jeep. I took mine off so I could spray both the inside and outside.

I am not sure about the Rhino liner spray. People use Plasti Dip because you can peel it off with no ill effects on the wheels. Rhino liner may be more of a permanent solution. Plasti dip can be applied to painted surfaces too with no ill effects when peeling it off. I did my grill the same time I did my wheels too.

I won't be able to do the rims today as we got a snow storm here a few days ago and the wheels and grill are dirty and full of road salt. Gonna wash it this weekend and will try to take some pics.
