Plastic lining in tire well

I just bought a Wrangler Unlimited and love it. Love the way (and how easy it is) to customize it. But I'm surprised how fragile the plastic lining is in the tire wells. My 2-week old car was making some noise while driving. I looked in the passenger tire well and one of the plastic fasteners was halfway out. I can't imagine the plastic lining will last too long. Do others have this problem?

:rolleyes: NOPE--

Yours just wasn't attached completely !!

I've hacked the hell out of mine to install the Bushwacker "Flares" and it's hanging in there after a year of storm/off-road/tire contact !!

It's actually very strong and can also wear through your brake lines at the front/back frame--if there's a contact point (jeep TBS)

Take the jeep back-have them rescrew :)rofl:) it !!

:rofl::rofl: JIMBO

I tore mine out while installing the lift. I busted it up pretty good, splitting every single one of those rivet/screw plastic cheap PITA things. it sucked lol

you could just remove them. I'm not sure, but I remember reading somewhere they're kinda pricey to replace.
