Please Help Troubleshoot

2013 JKUR with 1,000 miles. Manual Tranny. LOVE this thing, but...

It drives AWESOME. Except something weird happens only at a very specific time. Here are the "symptoms" and situation:
  1. First drive of the day ONLY. If I go somewhere, get back in, it doesn't happen.
  2. It's almost as if the computer, or the tranny, or something hasn't "woken up" yet.
  3. Only in 1st and 2nd gear (most noticeable in 2nd) the Jeep seems to choke a little bit, like lunging forward/rear even though I'm smooth as silk on the accelerater NOTE: This is not between shifts (clutch)...it's after the gear/clutch is engaged and i'm driving in the gear.
  4. Weird...literally within 3/4 of a mile or so it doesn't do it anymore. There is a stop sign about 3/4 of a mile from my house, and by then first and second act normal.
So, my untrained thoughts are it has 'something' to do with being warmed up or the computer 'resets' or something. So weird.

Any thoughts, ideas or known issues?

Thanks so much.

I've got a manual '10. It did act similar like you say, but it was like a loss of power for a few miles when cold. I assumed it had to do with puter waiting to give all until a certain temp. Went away after my Superchips btw. I have removed Superchips back to stock, and it comes back. Wouldn't sweat it. Maybe buy a Tuner if it bugs ya much?!

Thanks for the info. That would seem to be what it is. As soon as the temp needle goes up at all (which is quick on the jeep) it doesn't do it anymore. That's exactly what it feels like, almost like it cuts power. If there is nothing "wrong" it doesn't bother me...but it would bother me if its not suppose to do it

Haha! Didn't say it was normal! But I def wouldn't worry. I would recommend the Superchips Flashpaq. Very happy with mine. Great for towing, or changing gear ratios, etc.
