the sub definitely came right out with a love tap from a hammer/screw driver. i utilized the small "6 o'clock" alignment void after the screen was removed.
two 100% polyester polyfill pillows at walmart: $5.00
-stuffed her tight in the far reaches, but left enough room by the opening so the sub isn't fighting for space.
-removed the 6.25 boston's from the sound bar. stuffed her tight towards center and far reaches, but left space for the speakers. also, removed a few of the plastic pieces from the boston brackets... whereas originally, the 3 torx screws went through the bracket and the grill.. this time around i used pliers to snap off those 3 points so the speaker now "floats" [but still tight] and the grills are reapplied as OE speck intended.
i haven't touched the front whatso ever...
i will say the sound is marginally better... it's cleaned up a bit.. slightly more crisper and defined. but certainly an improvement. the sub hits a little better.. and the hollwness is reduced. for 5 bucks and 20 minutes: a must mod. [now hopefully it doesn't retain moisture or reach it's flash point]
