Powdercoat vs paint

Hello jeepers,i thought id post this on jk post cause most of u have had more than one jeep in time. Im looking to get a set of rubicon wheels powdercoated for 150$. Is it better than painting? An will it last longer? Thanks

It will last longer with proper prep. Powdercoat is also a tougher finish when it comes to chips and abrasion. In the end it's still a "form" of paint so it will need to be cared for to remain nice looking. Soap and water usually do the trick just fine. It is also slightly more resistant to chemical damage than regular paint, but then again it depends on what chemical. I use it when possible on my auto restorations and prefer it when possible.
