now, knowing that these things are built for off road, i was just wondering what you guys thought about it on road. i'm pretty much going to be a weekend warrior kind of guy, so during the week this will be my daily driver. i was wondering about acceleration and highway power, as well as how it pulls up hills.

Mine does pretty good as for accelaration and highway. I work in CT and do 75 all the way there. I'm not sure how its going to be when my new tires come in this week, but hey, its a Jeep. If I wanted to be a racer, I'd buy a race car. Welcome to the site btw. You wont regret getting a Jeep.

You'll be in a great mood all day because you'll be slapping all your troubles away.

THis is the JK forum oh Orange one.

Cooleyblues - Have you already gotten a new JK or driven one yet? I'd highly suggest you go test drive one. In stock form the perform pretty well. We are not talking about 12sec 1/4 Mile times but they do pretty damn good. If you do end up lifting it a little with larger tires, the only thing(best thing) to do is re-gear the axles. That alone is usually a $1200 job. But I can say for sure that a stock JK does pretty good offroad. THis is a guy I know who ran his stock JK on a 3.5/4 rate trail behind me and did fine. The only mods he has are the fender flares and sway bar disconnects.

It may say Rubicon on his, but its not.

If you build your jeep so big and bad that it's really easy to get threw everything out there, then your going to get bored.

1" taller springs. The flares make it look taller too.
