power windows??

Interested in buying an 08 wrangler. I was wondering if having the power convenience package (doors, windows, locks) makes the door removal process more difficult. Any information would be helpful.

The door removal process is the same whether you have the power group or not. There is a connector that is part of the door strap that powers the windows and the locks that must be disconnected to remove the doors. Even without the power group this connector is there since it signals the door open/close information for the dome light.

It is simple to disconnect. Slide the red tab outward, squeeze the connector, and pull apart.

There will be some who say you don't need power windows. Or power anything. They will say, "It's a Jeep thing..."

I say go for it! I love my power windows, power door locks, all the gadgets.

Enjoy your new Jeep!

Exactly, when i pull up to someone and need to tell them something, much easier to just push the button down, instead of leaning over the seat trying to "roll" down the window. hehe

lol a Jeep thing! I have a 1991 Wrangler and I can tell you I wish I had Power Windows. When I trade my old reliable rust bucket in for a 4 door Rubicon unlimited It will have everything under the sun equiped!

I have the 08 Wrangler X, (bought it in November 07, and it came with the power windows and auto door locks. I like the ease of use, but I like the ride without the doors BETTER!!

P.S.: By the way, "Righty-tighty, Lefty-loosey" they tell me, (the bolts on the doors). Doesn't make sense, but I'll believe them. (gravity factor for the bolts).
