I'm leasing 08 X with S-package and 32" tires, don't remember the MSRP, it was around $23000. My 39 month lease costs me $395/month, $0 down payment, didn't pay for Reg. or Tax, and got 1 payment off.

'07 2 dr. X. Sticker was $22,180 and I walked out the door for $19,000.

Mind you though mine is a completely stock 4x4 with street tires. Oh I have a/c, p/s, p/b and auto trans...but that's it. No power anything.

EDIT: I pay about $300 p/m and I didn't lease this vehicle.

I leased a 4-door X soft top with 6-speed. I'm not sure what options exactly... leather wheel, tinted windows, cd player, 17" wheels. I put $4k down in TX and my payments are $339/month.

What options do you have? All the MOPAR accessories? Or are you talking about all of the vehicle options?

I just bought mine last week. 08 Rubicon, two door, automatic trans, both tops, electric windows, tow hitch, navigation system (excessive and didn't necessarilly need but kinda nice) etc etc etc....32500 out the door. Giving up cable, my morning on my way to work coffee fix, cutting down on my weekly pocket money etc to make the payments.

PS, shop insurance too. My kid got his 07 Ford F150 totalled, bought a 99 jeep and his insurance actually went up (due to the theft rating) I haven't got my adjusted insurance bill yet, not looking forward to it.

I feel really good about it, even though I didn't NEED it. My kid bought a very well maintained 99 jeep with 95000 miles on it, he paid 7300. He borrowed the money from his Gramps so he had cash in hand but went out to get a loan on it as he didn't want to be beholden to family. The bank where he's getting his loan appraised the thing for 12 grand. You buy a truck or car or anything, 9 years and 100,000 miles it won't be worth didley squat but the jeeps sure seem to hold their value alot better.

Perhaps his insurance went up because he totaled the Ford...... I went from a 97 Wrangler to a 2008 wrangler and my insurance went up $10 per month. Same coverage. Wranglers are actually cheap to insure....but then again, I'm 42.

He didn't total it, some freakin drugged up drunk did. The looser damn near killed his passenger and put my kid in the hospital for five days. It was a five vehicle crash, my kid was the main target. Some other driver on the road was actually calling this guy into the police, he was on the phone giving a vehicle description and location, that's how out of control this ass was. Kids were at a stop waiting for a vehicle ahead to turn left, they never saw it coming. He is 19, his insurance is hefty no matter what he drives.

There is one rebate on the Wrangler your salesman may not know about. Mine didn't, and most I talked to didn't either. If you have an Honorable Discharge, you get $500 off the final drive out price.

For what it is worth I have a 2007 2dr Wrangler X, a/c, auto trans, cruise, cloth seats, alum wheels. I purchased it on June 30 2007.

Sticker was 21,700 but paid 16,500 plus tax. They claim it was the end of their month and they were one car short. All I know is, I got a deal!

please tell me that had a dealer installed lift and tires or something. thats a hefty price for a stock wrangler, no matter how well equiped.

Also, when buying any new vehicle, check the fees and demand that they wave some of the "adminstrative fee's". conusmer advisors will tell you to never pay those fee's.

And always shop around at several different dealers.
