Bought these about a month ago from Venomous Inc found them via Instagram and liked there light pattern as it was different from everyone else... So figured I would share my pics with you all and give a little review.
Overall build quality was great packaged up perfectly and install was a Breeze all harnesses were included and even sent an extra set in case of failure. The light pattern is great at night although the high beams are very straight forward and work more as a spot than a flood pattern.
Overall very happy and paid $249 shipped to my door with everything included 100% plug and play setup no relays or extra cables needed for install.. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any questions feel free to ask...
I live in Florida and from my past experiences I am not worried about buying something that has a stamp on it making it legal or illegal it is highly unlikely that a police officer would stop me to check for a stamp. Now making them legal in states that have car inspections I'm sure it would cause an issue but it wouldn't stop me from enjoying my rights on modding my vehicle however the hell I wanted to, just swap to stock for your inspection and keep going.
I don't see any compliance standards stamped/printed on them.
They're not headlights. They're headlight-shaped.
The OP described them as having a unique pattern.
The whole idea of regulating the light pattern is to maintain conformity/consistency and have a safe/legal light pattern.
Enough light where it should be. No light where it should not be.
I did adjust my headlights after these pictures were taking as I had gone to high up with them on my initial adjustment haven't had any oncoming traffic flick me off just yet.

Very few aftermarket headlight "options" have gone through the process to be certified in compliance with FMVSS108.
These certainly have not and are not legal. They would fail in a state with strict vehicle inspections. HID retrofit kits and HID conversions and many of the aftermarket LED options are not certified and therefore so not carry the DOT stamp. Many companies will just state that their product is for off road use only and leave you holding the bag when it comes time to prove compliance.
For example, below is the DOT stamp on JW Speakers and next to it is a Chinese knockoff without DOT and illegal.
They look nice. Thanks for posting. But based on the aim of the low-beams, I'd be really concerned about blinding oncoming traffic. At the very least, adjust to aim them lower.
Hah, most of the Chinese lights I've seen also copy the DOT markings. Like Chinese generators that simply copy the UL/CE marks from the generator they are copying.
I went with the knock off JW's. My friend has the real ones. We sat in a parking lot and adjusted them against a wall. Patterns were damn near identical with no left side bleed on either.
They don't check that stuff in N.C. I'm not blinding anyone and they work fine for me.
Yeah, but that site doesn't have any product links that I can find/order. So is that a retail store where you picked them up in person? You don't have a manufacturer or product link?
Actually, sorry, I was trying to find out what Ricochet bought, not you. I just failed to quote him:

I bought them on Ebay. Think I paid $300 for the set.
That being said, if the pattern and cutoff wasn't good I wouldn't be using them. Which is why I adjusted them next to a real set of JWS. Several others were hard pressed to tell the difference. Maybe I lucked out and got a good set. Maybe you won't be so lucky.
Hill and Pressurized are right though. You're rolling the dice with non-DOT approved housings should you be involved in an accident. And if the other driver indicates your lights were a part of the problem be prepared to be bent over, spread, lubed and plowed. :whacky:
These lights are on ebay as well as some JWS knockoffs. Feel free to look there and try them. I have no interest in them but if someone can produce a quality light with a great beam pattern at a low price, there will be a market.
Some of the chinese knockoffs have actually shown to have a decent cutoff. In the threads where these spider eye's have been posted, they do not have a decent cutoff and will be annoying to oncoming drivers.
This is a DOT beam pattern:
Here is the low beam pattern for these as posted in the Nightsun thread for the same headlight. It simply sucks... Way too high and if you lower it enough, you'll have no beam spread.
Yeah, that pattern is not great. If that is low beam, it is too high in the middle and if you point it down, it may be too low everywhere else. Then again, you can't adjust downwards too much anyway. I have the JWS...pretty nice cutoff.
Talk about stirring up the light Nazis holy crap....
Regardless of your opinions on Cheap Chinese lights with crappy cut offs that are not "Legal" they are on my Jeep and I enjoy the look as well as there performance at the price point that I paid. I simply started this thread to share my experience and photos. Not everyone is going to fork out $800 for a set of lights I am sure there are better options out there but it depends on your budget..
If you are not a fan of the lights or my attitude towards modding than don't click on the thread.
Also consider the liability.
When you knowingly alter your vehicle to be non-compliant with FMVSS-108, you are rendering it unfit for road use. If anything happens, you are liable, culpably liable to boot. If your insurance takes a look at your buggered lights, they will not cover you, represent you, and will leave you holding the bag.
You may think this can't happen. I know of one case where it certainly did happen and the person with the buggered lights faced felony charges as well as civil liability charges.
X2, please. Much safer to buy from a known-good seller.
