Props to ProTek decal man

Thanks for the sweet decal, bro. Even better looking than I hoped for. There is now no mistaking my silver JK with the rest in the parking lot. Even wifey likes it, which is worth extra style points. Oddly , after adding this and the light bar/stubby kit, wifey said "It looks good, but aren't you making a Jeep that only looks good to you and has less resale value to other people?" I take this as "aren't you gong to buy a new one some day"? To me this makes this Jeep more desirable in the "used" area of the local dealer's lot someday, and a hell of a lot cooler in the "now". I guess that's where men and women struggle with communication. Anyways, it was gratifying ripping off that dorky factory "X" decal.

Thanks for the compliments folks. And yes I can make more for anybody. I would suggest a little bigger though. 8.5". Those were 6" if my memory serves me correctly.

Gluestick. You have the only ones exactly like that in the world right now.

KBWWolf, I can make them in white for you. PM Sent.

Tomthbomb. PM sent.

If anybody needs anything else done, feel free to send me a PM.

I think you were spot on with this size, IMHO. Nearly identical in dimension to the stock "X" decal, so it looks like it belongs. Regardless, thanks for the instal tips, they are straight as an arrow, first try.

8 x 4 looks good too! Just tested it.

Now you're a pro! Next lesson, vertical hinge install. Works great on longer stuff like windshield lettering and such. For bug guards, I like to design so that it can be done in pieces with a horizontal hinge like you used. Also...if windshield lettering or anything horizontal for that matter is not connected (welded), you can tape it up with a few small pieces of tape. Check alignment. Adjust. Then use a long piece of 2" tape to across it on the top (or bottom depending which is best for situation). The tape half on the decal...half on the Jeep. Then once taped. Just take some scissors and cut between the letters and do 1, 2. or 3 letters at a time with multiple hinges. Much easier than doing the whole thing at once. Especially if you are alone. One vertical hinge in the middle will work too. I do it both ways all the time.

Even my reply got put into it ... WTF ?
Rob ....

here was my post ...

OMG .... I am so glad I found this thread ....
Definatly keeping and eye on it for sure !
Was just looking at the back of my sun visors
on the way home from work yesterday and
was wondering how to take them off.
How much for a sticker to go over them ?

BTW .... some AWESOME stickers so far !
Give me a day or two and I will have an
idea for a Sahara dunes sticker replacement.
I was going to take it off but my Wife likes
the logo and name Sahara but I want to
tweek it now seeing what you can do ... LOL ...
Rob .....

Also want to cover the idiotic stickers on the sun visor.

Have anything that will work for that?

Did you ever get anything done? I did PM you back then, but don't quite remember what became of it. I think I did design you a new one.

Yes. It has been too long really. It seems that custom designing and this kind of stuff stuff is something I just can't ever stop doing. I've been designing all along. I took a marketing job. That was super until the old man forced the son out. I opened a powdercoating shop. We do awesome work, but that's going to be more of a side thing for now. I'll may whip up another site soon.
