I have HID headlights and they rock. OEM lights are horrible; I had to run my factory fogs just to see better. I don't have the brand off the top of my head, but that are engineered in Germany. Plug n' play, uses OEM housing, H2O proof connectors, comes with ballasts. Only thing, low beam = HID, high beam = halogen.

They look great. What harness did you get and do you have hi beams? I have a set of HID's now and don't get hi beams, the light moves a little, but they are not any brighter.

I may have missed it in this thread, but where did you get them? (Link?)

I'd like some "plug and play" solutions.

I get them through my As#hoŁ! Brother-in-law. I can get u or anyone for that matter these lights. I guarantee you will like them. Extreme white light. Comes w/bracket to mount each ballast. I can probably get them shipped for $150. I've had mine for about 10 months now; no flicker at all. The price includes the cancelers (prevents the flickering). I'm not a dealer or shop, just here to help others. If you are not satisfied, I will refund u ur $$$.

Yes, this is a true bi-xenon system, the same as you get on BMWs, Audis, etc. There is a shield (which makes the nice and pretty cutoff line that projector HID setups are famous for) which is dropped out of the way when you pull the highbeam stalk. This allows light to be output from 100% of the projector. They are silent and very effective. The harness comes with the kit and it is a simple plug and play. However, if you have the LED headlights and want to kill the flicker, you can purchase the same harness on ebay for around $10. Using this harness will require minor modification to your LED headlights (basically changing the connector or splicing wires together).

I just looked up the link you provided. The kit I get requires no grounding of terminals or anything. Very clean and simple.

Well, the harness has to be attached to the + and - of the battery, but other than that, the rest is click click click connectors. You can't have a harness that doesn't attach to the battery because then it would not be an independent power source and it would pull power from the headlight source (OEM) which causes flicker. You are talking about a plug and play kit, which you can't use on a JK without having issues.

I like the dark tint your headlights have when not illuminated. Somewhat of a sinister look.

They actually don't have a dark tint, but I guess that's how they come out on photos. The front "glass" is still clear. The housing and the shrouds are satin black, so it gives them the appearance of being black.

Here's a slightly better representation.

I can also just give you the # to bro-in-law shop and see if he will sell them to you. I'll post a few pics of the box they come in and you can look them up yourself. Lights first: I had flicker issues at first, but then I added the cancelors and all has been fine since. It's a tight package, can't tell it's aftermarket.

Your right, the black reflects onto the headlight lens. I have the same color JKU and have been blacking it out. I definitely have to plasti-dip the grill now.

I have HID lights on my JKU; had flicker at first; added cancelors and have been fine since. I'll try to snap a few pics of the package before work. My schedule is all over the place the next couple weeks.

I was all set to pony-up for a set of LED headlights, but you really got me thinking again. I might just go the HIS route after all. How are the lights in snow, and the overall durability? I wanted a set of JWs for a couple of reasons.

1) Tight beam pattern and clean cut-off. I want to see, but don't want to blind fellow motorists

2) Ease of install.

I had a 2004 WRX back in the day, and I installed HIDs into the reflector housings that were meant for halogen lights. Yes I was that douchebag, and I am very sorry for it. I swore off non-factory HID becuase the install was a PITA on the WRX, and because of pegging the D-Bag meter.

I really like the night driving picture you posted, and would have been very surprised that a Wrangler was producing that tight pattern had this not been a Wrangler forum! Was the install hard? Thanks in advance for any insight!
