So whats everyone's first impressions on the new Qadratec suspension lift?Based off of the description and component list it looks good for the price.
Is it something you would think about pre-ordering?

I've looked at the kit and still need to see some information before I would recommend it.

Who makes the nitro shocks? I prefer a kit without shocks so I can get the ride I want. Typically, inexpensive nitro shocks don't ride that great.

Is that track bar bracket a frame side mount? Axle mount is the preferred geometry correction.

What is the free length of the coils? Are they in line with the industry for a 2.5" lift?

ETA: The parts remind me a lot of the Skyjacker lift. If that's an axle mount track bar bracket, in the picture it seems to be missing the brace that goes to the diff cover?

Our new suspension kits are a private label. Part of this private label is an agreement not to release the manufacturer information. I can tell you we were involved in the design process and these were manufactured to our specs. Our private label suspension kits are made in the USA!

Thanks!

Fully and completely understand! It's still in our nature to "explore" the possibilities...

Maybe you need a "lift kit review" on WF. :tomatoes:

Private labeling and generics can be a good thing because sometimes you get a big brand name at a lower price to protect the brand but this is not always the case. It's not just the initial ride impressions but also the long term durability. Consider the MOPAR lifts, the first thing everyone wants to know is who makes the lift kit because they have offered some great kits from TF but in the past there has been some lesser gear from Superlift. Caveat Emptor.

Weird....

I just looked this up. Assuming we are talking about the 2.5" coil spring lift. the info states front and rear track bar re-alignment brackets, but the part list in the instructions only list the rear TB bracket (Axel mounted). The instruction only show the rear TB being installed.

Misprint somewhere???

Must be since you don't do a bracket in front until you get to around 3-1/2 or 4" of lift. And then you need a drop pitman or drag link flip to keep the geometry correct.

First timer to the suspension lift

Alright - I ordered the Quadratec 2.5 Maximum Duty lift kit w/ Nitro 8.0 shocks. This is my first suspension lift - I put on a body lift last summer; I will report back once I install and tell you all how it went. I took a look at the instructions online and I think they are far more clear than others I've seen.

Hopefully all this snow melts and I can get off road soon.

Let us know how it goes and how it rides. Please take pictures!

@Quadratec Can you give us some more info on the kit? Spring rates etc.

Has anyone else ordered one of these? Here's the link again...

On the 3.5 they definitely raise the front track bar without adjusting the drag link...

I've been eyeballing this lift as well, since I'm not planning on spending a lot for one. However, I'm a disciplined student of the "if it's too good to be true, then it probably is" school. The price on this one concerns me. I will follow this thread and dayhoffj's write-up on it though! :thumb:

I've been looking around at lifts as well (shocks and coils) as my newly acquired 98 TJ (4.0 5-spd D35/3.07) has tired coils and shocks. The price point is on par with what I've been looking at (RC, BDS, ProComp, Zone). I've kind of decided on BDS...I'd do Zone but I really don't want to go to a 3" lift...unless convinced otherwise. Then I saw this one on Quadratec's site.

I agree with Scott2373 that if it's too good to be true, it probably is. However, as noted above, price point is on par with others.

I also agree with spinlock that being private label could mean getting a good name-brand lift...or it could also be just a dressed up off-brand.

If I go this route, I'd be happy to document the install, ride, and performance on and off road as my DD and get-away as I can in the mountains of Utah and of course...Moab.

Looking at the trackbar bracket in the catalog it looks like the same one that comes with Skyjacker lifts.

VS

Both images are off the quadratec website.

I don't know for a fact that Skyjacker is manufacturing Quadratecs lifts, but they certainly are a large enough company to handle the extra volume and the kits are priced similarly. It makes sense. Also, Skyjacker's shock options are Nitro and Hydro, so it's not hard to make the comparison.

 SUBSCRIBED!!!

I am also hoping these aren't too good to be true! I have been looking at the Teraflex 2.5 coil for my Jeep for a while; I have always liked that kit. I do like this price though!

ALSO, does this kit level the Jeep? That is a big part of my requirements for a lift!

I was going to place my order today and called Quadratec but it will not be available till end of April. I'm in no hurry so I can wait and at this price point there is no other kits to compare it too. I've looked at lift coils but those alone are 440.00 teraflex 3" or 300.00 2.5" skyjacker other brand same ballpark figure.
I've been happy with the misc stuff I've bought for my TJ from QT so i'll give it a try when available.
