Quadratec carries two "Same as production Top" options. What's the differnce?

Quadratec offers two different Mopar soft tops that claim to be "Same as production Top" but one is priced $350 less.

MOPAR 82209746AB - MOPAR® Complete Soft Top for 07-10 Jeep® Wrangler JK 2 Door - Quadratec $1,350

And
MOPAR 82211678 - MOPAR® Sunrider® with Tinted Windows for 07-09 Jeep® Wrangler JK 2 Door - Quadratec $1,000

Does anyone know what the difference is?

One is the Sunrider which folds back from the front rather like a sunroof. It can be partially opened. The other is either up or down, no in between.

Edit: The sunrider is worth the extra $ IMO. We paid extra for ours when we got the new top for the JK... Very nice for cooler days, and short trips when you want to close up quickly...

The Sunrider top is the cheaper of the two by $350. What do you make of that?

I would contact bestop as I think they are now selling something close the factory tops they supply Jeep with. Might save a few bucks. Is one listed above perhaps just the material and the other have all the frame work as well?

Pricing is not always logical. Specials from Mopar, maybe, an overstock from Quad, perhaps, I have no idea. But the Sunrider looks to be a good deal.

Quad was doing a really good deal on Mopar replacement skins a few weeks ago, so maybe they're just really blowing Mopar stuff out the door. Or maybe it fell off the back of a truck (just joking!).

According to Geoff's replies in other threads, the Supertop NX will be virtually identical to the OEM top but it won't be available for the JK until summer.

Egads, that would suck!

You might be right about the blowout as I just noticed the Quadratec part number is the same for both of the links. Hummm, that makes me nervous.

Geoff, I have another thread about using a Trektop and element doors together on a 2011JK 2-door. Will they play well together?

I was wrong. The part numbers are different. One is a 11105.113x and the other is a 11105.13x.

Talked to Quadratec and the one marked 07-09 is the older style and not made anymore.

Not only do we have a lot of choices, but now even more with current and discontinued models. I'm so confused
