Quadratec sucks IMO

Sorry for my anger first of all ! ,,, I ordered a Bestop NX in may for my 08 2 door ,,, i understand spring is a hot / hard time to buy a new soft top . I was told mid June ,, OK ! no sweet , got my top 3 week in june ,,, COOL ,,, pulled the hard top , went to install the NX ,,, HUH , they ? shipped a NX for a 4 door ! OK , well the guy told me I ordered a 4 door top ,, well I was billed for a 2 door HUH ,, got the return tag sent it off and was told mine would be shipped 2nd week of july ,,,, called tonight to be told they had just received 8 to fill orders placed in FEB ,,,, WTF !!!! we start vacation next week and wanted to have it by then ,,, anyone have a suggestion ? of were to get a / any soft top ,, the wife is less then happy and i'm pissed ,

Call Qtec and request replacement? Did your order invoice show the wrong order or was it picked and shipped wrong? I'd PM Joe from Qtec here, they might help you resolve. Good luck!

maybe check out Craigs list. might find a nice 2dr soft top cheap.

Ouch.. that sucks. You could try craigslist for a factory soft top, but I doubt that is what you want. You might just be waiting a while.

Maybe they shipped the wrong top, but the delay is a manufacturer issue, not Q-tec.

Quadratec has always been good to me. Going on about 8 years of business with them. Call again and talk with the customer service person. If they can't help, ask for a manager. I'm sure they will work with you, if you are willing to work with them.

Have only placed one order with Qudratec. I got a set of WP half doors and ordered from them specifically because they are located in NJ and could get them too me by the weekend when placing the order mid week. They came through, matched the lowest price I had quoted and did free shipping no problem. Would order from them again.

Don't blame them for not having it in stock. That is a manufacturer issue.

Really ? again i was told the 8 tops comming in were going to orders placed in FEB ... I was told i was going to have my top in june ,,,, I deal w/ manufacturers suppliers every day in my buisiness/ trade ,,,,,,,, if you do not have the product , or cannot get it fine . I was shipped the wrong top peroid !!! by Qtec or Btop ,,, the point is I ordered and was billed for the one that fit !!!! so why was I pushed to the back of the line ,

^ Both of these. Nothing but positive experiences here. QT went out of their way to overnight a new wheel that had been damaged by UPS in shipping. I trust these guys and always give them a first shot at my business based on past experience.

OP- really sorry to hear about your situation. I know you don't want to hear this, but this is really the worst time of year to try to get a soft top. Everyone else has the exact same idea and it's not at all uncommon to wait for months on shipping / backorders.

And as a note, now that you're a forum member (welcome btw), you can usually get free shipping from QT.

This thread wont last long. I went threw this last year. Well sort of, they didn't mess up my order but Bestop tends to lead them alone at least that is my experience with it with when orders will be filled. They give the permission for pre-orders with promises to get them out soon and never meet the demand. If Quadratec refused to take pre-orders another company will so they lose sells. It's a can't win for them. I got mine from Jeepaddons last year and went through the it will be here soon, then next month then next. Chris at Jeepaddons was great with keeping me up to date though.

Have to say Quadratec has been great in my experience but I understand your frustrations. I didn't get my NX until early fall last year after ordering in March. If I didn't love my top so much I would still begrudge Bestop but unfortunately I really like it and glad I got it in the end.

as has been said. Q-tec usually goes out of there way to keep folks happy. I'd give them a call back and ask them for other options or be patient. i know that sucks... but seems like the Trektop NX is pretty popular right now. Joe (the Q-tec rep) is usually pretty good about getting back to you in 24 hours or so. and if you PM him in advance... you'll always get free shipping because of this forum.

just another little bit of advice... not really a good idea to bash vendors on the forum. we all can understand your frustrations... i hate waiting for things when i order, especially if they're backordered... i'm a huge instant gratification type A guy... but sh-tuf happens and something good will come out of this. those guys talk and are on this forum. so are plenty of moderators...

i guess the long and short of it is... what goes around comes around. [/rant]

Northridge 4x4 is showing they have them in stock right now with free shipping. I don't know if this helps or not. Maybe you can just get your money back for the other one.

That is what they do for me. I have not had an issue with them yet. I have ordered a lot of stuff from them over the last few years and always received it in a couple of days. As a matter of fact the big brown truck stopped by today and left some stuff I ordered from them and I hope it does again tomorrow with a soft top I ordered for my daughters Jeep.

I have not placed an order with Q-Tec since their shipping is pretty steep. I would like to know how you guys are obtaining this "free shipping" you speak of..

Quadratec has been great to me with returns and such but I will say one thing.. They sell way too many items that aren't in stock and imo I do not think any site should take orders on items they do not have. Especially without letting you know it is out of stock before ordering.

As a businessman... the only rule to live by is to always take care of your customers. You should be EASILY able to get the issue fixed ASAP by the reseller with a simple phone call.

There is a thread about how to get "free shipping" from QT, check that for details. In short, the easier way is to do a google search of what you want, click the QT's advertisement link and you should see "free shipping" when check out, or PM the QT guy in this forum after placing an order.

I got my all weather floor mats shipped free or it would have costed me $25.
