Question Question aboout Lifting a 2013 (w/pics of an '09)

I had (up until yesterday) a 09 2 door on a 2.5'' lift. I was in a hit and run, and the ins. company decided to total it because the frame and the body were bent. For all of those now wondering how the guy bent my frame and body then drove off your guess is as good as mine. Anyways before I get carried away lets get down to it. I am obviously now in the market for a '13 I'm gonna throw on my old tire and wheels (just started my build only had 'em two weeks at this point) but what about the lift? Will Jeep void my warranty if I put a lift of any kind on there. I know allot of guys do it the first day so I'm curious.

Also, gonna get another two door. I'd love to get a JKU just for the extra cargo space, everyone knows how hard it is to take friends and the party supplies, but my reason for not is a whole different story. So in your opinion should I go with another black one and replicate what I've done below? Or get the commando green and do the same but black decals?

Thanks for the input and knowledge about the lift!

Can we see pics after the wreck? Sorry about your loss, good to know you want a new one. I think you will like the new engine.

Jeep will only deny your warranty claim if the modifications you made caused the problem. Everything else will still be covered.

I say change it up and go Commando Green.

Yeah, change it up unless you absolutely love black. I like black and white.

I'd go commando. Why are you avoiding the Jku? They are awesome with the only real short comings being breakover angle and turning radius. The extended wheelbase makes climbing a breeze when compared to a 2 door.

It actually doesn't look all that bad in the pics. Its hard to see the bend an the poor toe angle on the tire at the angle hey were taken. Although it wasn't exactly a love tap the guy put into me. According to the mechanic the tires held traction and the transfer of energy at the from of the car was what bent because the car wanted to stay in one spot. At any rate I'm getting a new one. Actually just found a 2011 JKU for the same pice I paid for the one I had and it only has 14,000 miles! Dunno how they figured that price but in comparison to the $30,000 '13 2door sports its a steal

I love both models of jeeps. The only thing holding me from a JKU is my dad keeps sayin I'll look too old in one Andre 2 doors are for ppl my age (I'm 21). Although if read my post before this he came around when he saw the deal I could get on the '11 JKU in comparison to the '13 2door. I said it in re last one I can't believe the price they have on it I've never seen a JKU under $30 especially with really low miles

If you could get a '12 or newer you will love the new engine. No comparison. I almost got an '08 rubi but when I test drove the '12 I was sold. That said get what you want. I'm 25 and I absolutely need the room of the 4 door. The 2 doors are just too damn short for cargo.
