Question about 2010 recall?

Is there a process you have to go through for the repair or can I call the dealership and get ahead of the rush assuming they get the replacement part in fairly quick

There is no part you need its a computer reset I had mine done took about 45 min. Unless your talking about the 4door then I have no clue but just call the dealer have them schedule you an appointment and the parts will be there and ready when you show up.

Thank-you for the advice! I have my jeep serviced at the dealership and I believe they have addressed that problem! I am referring to the potential fire issue and the recall that was just issued yesterday for 2010 jk's

ok then yes make sure call them in advance and make sure they have everything for your fix set up an appointment. That way you will not be stuck days without your jeep. once you drop it off they will pull it rite in and fix the issue.

You might be thinking of the "hot oil" recall.

The latest recall requires replacing the tranny skid plate with a skid bar:
