question about buying my first jeep

So I have been contemplating selling my mustang and buying a wrangler. I went to carmax today and checked one out and they offered me 5500 for my mustang which is more than i payed for it.
Here is the wrangler in question. only 47k on it and 17.5k.
My question is what's up with the soft doors? I didnt think those came on the JK's as factory

The soft doors are an option, I believe.

Unless you plan on running em year-round (which, in California, you might), I'd check with the dealer and see if they've got the regular hard doors to go with it.

By soft doors do you mean half doors? Like metal bottom half doors with a soft window?

The half doors were an option but a "dual door" was not. They either had half or full doors. Since they are about $3000 new, most people don't have both. You might, however be able to trade with someone, as the half doors can be very sought after in the right crowd. You might find someone here that will do it. The only downside is you need to find someone with crank windows as that jeep isn't set up for power windows.

If you only have a soft door as in the whole thing is soft, you should either walk away or not pay more than 14 for that as a new set of doors is VERY expensive

Soft doors are not half doors. Well, they are, but they are not hard half doors. Wait a minute. Soft doors are made of the same material as the soft top. They used to be standard on a CJ with a soft top. Then came the Wranglers with half doors and soft uppers. Now you can either get full half doors (standard) or optional half doors with soft uppers.

Soft doors are aftermarket only.
