Question about hard\soft tops from car dealer

ok this is probably a dumb question but I figured I would ask anyway,,,

If the sticker on the jeep under standard equipment shows sunrider soft top, and under optional equipment shows a charge for a hard top, and hard top was installed when I bought it, should the jeep come with both or no?

Salesman told me if soft top was in back of jeep then yes It would be mine to have both but it wasn't so I would have to buy it.

With all these people selling soft tops because they got both, I'm guessing this guy may have lied to me and took soft top out?

I just dont want to have to buy one if it should have come with both...

Thanks!

Salesman is correct. The invoice would say duo top if it includes both tops. Would your reading is an upgrade price from soft top to hard top.

Standard equipment (unless replaced by optional equipment)

^ That's what it says on the stickers.
If it says "Three Piece Freedom Top" on the optional, it means replace soft with hard.
If it says "Dual top group" it means you get both.

PM Sivrevo. He's got a 2010 soft top that he's trying to sell. I'll bet he'll make you a great deal.

I have a soft top for a 2010 4door for sale but would prefer to sell it locally in the Tucson Phoenix AZ area because of it's size.

Check Craigslist for JKU Tops. I see them locally here all of the time.

If you find one... MAKE SURE..... you get the Hardware (Bows, Knuckles, Screws, Bolts, etc...), Soft Top, Door Surrounds, Tailgate Bar, Tailgate Bar Brackets, & Windows!

You honestly wouldn't believe, how many Jeepers buy these from a Private Seller, and never get all of the Parts for it, at the time of Sale. Then they're stuck with a partial Top, and have to purchase the additional parts that are missing. Not only Costly for you, but Time Consuming & Frustrating as well!

FYI, here's a JKU Soft Top Diagram, with Inventory, of what parts you should have for your Soft Top:

Soft Top Hardware for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door

Also, if you don't have Half Doors, then just disregard the Parts Inventory for those items. You're only concerned about the Soft Top Parts. If you have any questions, please ask. We'll all be glad to help!

Another FYI... the Soft Top itself, should already be assembled, so most of the Soft Top parts like the Header, Staypad Straps, etc..., will already be on the Top.

Make sure you get Items #16 or #28. These are the Velcro Straps for your SunRider/Folded Soft Top Bows, and the Elastic Straps for your Rear Window (if you decide to Roll it up... which isn't recommended, unless you REALLLLY like permanent creases in your Rear Window Plastic!).

Best of Luck!

Cheers!

BB
