Question about the Dual Top option that came with my new jk!
Hey everyone, after owning and daily driving a '99 Wrangler Sport for 7 years I sold it and finally pulled the trigger on a brand new 2013 JK Sport S.I absolutely love it and it's night and day compared to my old Jeep.
Quick question, I bought it with the dual top group, The soft top was rolled up in the back with the windows stored in the cardboard packaging. When I got home, I opened up the soft top window package and saw that they were clear and not tinted! I absolutely hate clear soft top windows and was dead set on getting tinted ones. I was under the impression that the dual top group came with a premium soft top; and I thought that meant the windows were also tinted. Am I mistaken or on the off chance did the dealer give me the wrong top and/or windows?! I have attached a picture of my window sticker detailing the options. Thank you very much!
likely chrysler screwed it up, not your dealer. It clearly says tinted windows.. and I was not even aware that the 13's didnt have tint as an option. I have went round and round in the last 48 hours on chyrslers naming conventions for their tops. I purchased a 'premium' soft top for the tune of 1600 bucks from my local dealer.. Turns out 'premium' is the base model top, and 'premium fabric' is the top i was after... .

Well the devil is in the details I suppose....Thank you for all the quick replies. What are the odds here anyone is looking to sell a set of tinted windows for a 2-door 2013 wrangler? Or does anyone have a link to a site that sells just the three tinted windows that would fit the model soft top I have? Or if anyone has new condition tinted windows on theirs and would be interested in trading for my clear ones + cash; let me know!(Located in MA btw.)
It may be this even though the best top name is different. Check with the dealer the exact part no. for the tinted ones, then shop on line, also if you still got them in the original box see if they can take them back and you pay the difference for tinted ones.
