Question about tire and lift

I had a jeep years ago and am ready to order a JKU with half doors...this will be just a fun vehicle that I ride around with the top down in...I just love the looks of the lifted jeep with large tires ... As strange as it might be for most of you, I only want the truck for around town on paved will be kept in the garage and never driven with the top up ( unless I get I caught in the rain)... What is the the best package for me as far as gears, lift, etc for 35 inch tires ? I wanted to also add the large buswacker painted fender flares... As I said "all for looks - no offroad " thanks for the advice

Order the jeep with either 3.73 or 4.10 rear end and you won't have to regear. With the new engine both will work. Then you can get by with a 2" lift and shock extensions and you"ll be good to go. If you're using the stock wheels you will need wheel spacers or if getting new wheels make sure you have 4 & 1/2 inch back spacing or less.

2003 Jeep TJ. Ready to hit the trails

I would have to disagree. Even if not used off road you will absolutely have to regear! No questions asked. 35's will change the whole science behind the drivetrain. It will be a dog with stock gears! Even with the new engine.

Just my opinion, but don't put bigger tires on it if your not going to regear it.
