Question for those with fabric half doors

What is the interior airflow like while driving when using the half doors? I've taken the full doors completely off my 2012 2-door and I find the loud roaring at my left ear from the turbulence uncomfortable. I have a little tinnitus in my left ear, which makes your ear kind of sensitive to sustained loud sounds. I tried a foam earplug but it didn't work out because the air hitting the earplug has a roaring sound of it's own that gets transmitted to your ear.

I'm willing to buy the fabric aftermarket half doors (lowers only) if they would fix the airflow to be less violent around my head. The factory full doors with the windows rolled down provide a very comfortable airflow but I'm not getting the open air experience that I want. And I don't have a way to test drive a Jeep with the fabric lower half doors before buying them so I thought I'd ask folks who already have them how good they are.

I'm not worried about weather tightness or leaks - just how well they manage airflow to reduce turbulence at head level while driving.

I have them and it does cut things down. It feels like driving open air but not as much air flow. Actually it is so much like open air that I don't mind keeping my trek top bikini style top on. I woild find someone with them and chuck 'em on first to test it to make sure they are what you are looking for before dropping the dough, they aren't cheap.

Try silicone ear plugs for swimmers. No air can flow through, seals off the entire ear canal. Much cheaper than soft doors, and you still get to see the pavement roll by...

I've tried different kinds of earplugs, including custom fitted ones and they all have issues.

But I did figure out a sort of half-assed fix yesterday for the violent airflow at my head while driving with no doors. First I jammed a small pillow between the driver headrest and the door pillar and that helped a bunch. Then I figured out a lot of the air was coming from the right side. With the right door removed the air kind of turns into the cab and gets caught by the passenger seat and directed toward the driver's head. I moved the passenger seat all the way forward and then reclined the backrest as far as it would go. It made a big difference. I still might buy some fabric half door lowers but what I've already done might work by itself.

Close out on this thread. I bought the Bestop fabric lower doors and drove the Wrangler with them on for the first time today. They cut down the crazy wind air flow I was getting with the factory doors totally removed. I'm happy and enjoying my Jeep. The lower fabric doors are pretty cheap and work for me.
