Question on wheel and tire package

Since I got me new JKU - started thinking about wheel and tire packages.

I do not think I am going to lift it (it is my DD) so I was trying to see what size I need to get and maybe some suggestions on tires.

For the wheels, I really like the XD Monster's...

Thoughts?

The choice is yours. You can run up to 35s on a wheel with the right backspacing, about 4.5", if you cut your fenders. Someone else would be more help with 33s, but I would say you could do this with the same wheel, no fender cutting.

I would say 33’s with no lift is perfect. Think about a leveling kit at least to take the rake out of it? Or find some Rubi take off wheels and tires, they are about 32”.

Thanks Daniel,
Will I notice a huge drop off with 33's in MPG?

Thanks,
Jeff

I just upgraded from stock to 33"s and only noticed about 1-1.5 drop, with no real noticeable power loss. But, I've only had them for 2 weeks...

What gearing do you have?

Yeah, great idea about the Rubi takeoffs. I didn't even think about that. You can get them cheap. The downside is that's a heavy wheel. 33s with a 15" wheel would probably do you better... they may even be lighter depending on what you get.

I lost around 1.5mpg going to 33s. Mine are a bit heavier than most folks though (~86lbs).

It will depend on what tranny you have ! Manual not to much auto a little bit more! I have run everything on mine all the at up to a 37". Regear won't be necessary with 33s, but a procal to adjust your tire size and shift points will get you back where you started maybe better.

I've been calling around today and it seems like the venders either have the right rims OR the right tires. Nobody has both.
