Quick advise for new buyer please

First let me say thank you for looking at my post and for any advise.

So, to the point.

Below is the edmonds true value for the JKU with options I want. Is this what I should expect to pay or is it to high/low?

I read so many articles on the net its hard to know what to believe. I figure other buyers can give me the most accurate information.

Join Tread Lightly and you won't pay more than 1 percent under invoice through their affiliate program. A little negotiating skill and you might even beat that.

Good luck

Mike

TY! I live in Tulsa. Buying in OKC would be no big deal.

I think that est. would be pretty close. Add an incentive or 2 if possible.

Check with your job to see if you are already eligible for an Affiliate Discount with Chrysler (if not, join Tread Lightly...which is also an Affiliate Discount).

Shoot for 3% to 4% below invoice. With an affiliate discount, getting 3.5% below invoice should not be too hard.

The estimate is close to what we paid for our 2012 JKU.

Alright buddy I did some math here. Im not sure what the "quick order package" is but its not listed in the sticky for ordering a 2013. So ill just use the invoice edmunds gave. With everything added up to true invoice the total is $29,831

4% under invoice-28,637.76
3% under invoice-28,981.07
2% under invoice-29,233.38

Start at 4% and dont settle for anything more than 2%

Or do what I did and start at 6% under lol

So I checked the Chrysler affiliates program. Plugged in my work info and $220 of MSRP it the example they gave me. O.o Ive already been quoted better without any haggling.

Ok, so I sold my pickup yesterday and now its time to pull the trigger on a jeep.

Went to 2 dealers and showed them the build I want. Same as above, but with a hard top.

MSRP 31,600

Taking into account my works 1% under invoice I was offered.

30,205
30,130

Seems way off from what others have been getting them at. Time of year or crappy dealers?

So with the hardtop it would have been about 27,500. Did you have any incentives and how long ago was it?

That's over 2K less!!! Both my dealers say the number they gave me is bottom line. I don't think Ill even call them back to haggle.

They must think i'm an idiot, and that may be true. However I'm an idiot with the internet!

Go to jeep.com, look up every dealership within driving distance, & email all of them. I didn't do as well as a lot of people on here but I have a 2013 Rubicon on order for 2.6% less than invoice. I think there was only 1 dealership that wouldn't budge because it had to be ordered but the rest all kept dropping their price to get the sale.

No, the dealer does a no haggle advertised price thing. So that was no incentives. I got mine 3 weeks or so ago. The sales guy was telling me they have people fly in from all over the country to buy from them because they are so low on their prices.

This might be the place for me. They have one with everything I want but the Max Tow for only 28k. Why would I even call my local dealers back. lol 2k under their "rock bottom" price.

Congrats Kevin, you work fast. Did the dealers you were first dealing with come down on price or did you have to go else where

Spent a few hours on the net looking at every dealer in the state. Went back to the local dealer and asked them to match it.

So unless my math is off I got just over 4% under invoice!
