Quick Question

Hey guys,

New to the forum..look forward to picking up some valuable information around here. Lately I've run into a snag with what I can do for rod holders for my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport S package. I'm trying to figure out if certain rod holders would fit onto my jeep and if I did add them, if it would void my warranty in any way (which I obviously don't want).

I stumbled upon this and wondered if something like this would fit on my 2011 Wrangler Sport S?

Cabela's: Angler's Fish-N-Mate® Bumper Mount Rod Holders

--------------------------------------------------------

Secondly, has anyone with a newer wrangler experienced moistness/dampness on the passenger side floor? It seems like under my floor mats gets wet/damp from time to time and I can see the condensation on my clear all weather floor mats. I've brought it back to the dealer before and suggested it may be a seal issue or something called the A Pilar (read it/researched it online)..just wondering if anyone has had any luck fixing these? I've read it's been a horror story for owners in terms of not getting an adequate fix and just learning to live with it.

Thanks,
Ryan

Edit: My apologies if this is in the incorrect section..tried to figure out where would be most appopriate.

Don't know anything about fishing rods, but here's some reading on passenger side leaks:

Also, I'm sure it's linked in one of them, but make sure you take a look at this leak manual.

Ohh helllllz !
Yeah tAke back to dealer and pray they dont make it worse. I had issues with my 2010 and every time I took it in I got it back in worse condition. Good luck
Either try to fix yourself ( new seal around door) or deal with it.
Mine was so jacked up I ended up selling back and getting a 2dr JK ( best choice for me )

Well, guess that sucks about the front passenger side floor mat. I'll make sure to make Jeep's life a living hell about that though.

In terms of adding the rod holder, is that going to void my warranty?

Thanks for the help guys!

Mike your going to have to share your linking/posting skills with us padawans. You've far exceeded anything we could have hoped to accomplish.

I just throw them in the back reel first and leave the rear or side window open a bit so they stick out the back. Maybe put something heavy on top of the butt ends on the floor so they don't slip out. Total cost = zero dollars

No. Nothing but odometer tampering "voids" your warranty.

Adding a mod only means that your warranty "won't cover" the mod itself or anything damaged by the mod.

So if your rod holder is defective and snaps back on the highway and cracks your windshield, neither the rod holder nor your windshield will be "covered" by your Chrysler warranty.

My passenger side door leaks too. Usually after I've had the top down and the rubber has not molded back to the upper rain gutter.
Try a little silicone grease on the rubber stripping. Mine usually leaks at the top of the door by the windshield. Seems to work in all but the worst downpours.
