Quick question before I order a 2013 Sport B

Hi all,

First post here. Been lurking for a while and have got a ton of great info here so, thanks!

I'm almost ready to order my Jeep, I'm just trying to decide between the Sport B (I'm in Canada) and the Sport S and was hoping you guys could help me clarify a couple things. When I add the options that I want to the Sport B I come up with (as far as I can tell) the exact same Jeep, minus the A/C for $2075 less than the Sport S. The options are:

Freedom Hardtop ($1050 on either SportB/Sport S)
Connectivity Group ($595 Sport B/ $495 Sport S)
17" wheels ($600 Sport B/ Included Sport S)
P255/75R17 OWL tires ($550 Sport B/ Included Sport S)
Sirius ($325 Sport B/ Included Sport S)

So at MSRP the Sport B comes in at $26315 and the Sport S at $28390, which is a difference of $2075 even though the A/C option would only add $1300 total (including A/C tax) to the Sport B. Is there anything else I'm missing that differentiates those two? Or am I correct that I would have essentially built myself a Sport S, minus the A/C for a couple grand less?

Thanks for any input! Cheers

haha nice. I don't think I need the power group. I know that's an option on the S and not on the B, but there's another 1000 bucks on top of the S price. So if I don't want any of the stuff that's an option on the S but not on the B (ie. power group, premium sound etc.) have I found some sort of pricing loop hole?? haha. There's probably something I'm missing..

Unless you plan to drive this vehicle into the ground, get the AC. You will loose more in resale than the $2k AC will cost you.

I got the Sport B (also in Canada), with auto, hardtop, and aircon, for less than a similarly equipped S. The only thing I missed out on at this price was some tacky chrome trim. The 16" steelies are just fine, though I changed the tires the first week I had it.

I would have considered the B package over the S package on my JKU if side airbags had been an option. If you can live without them (I couldnt) then the B package is a better overall value.

Thanks for all the advice here. I actually ended up buying a 2012 2 door Altitude edition wrangler that a local dealer had on his lot. As soon as I saw it I absolutely fell in love with it. And I managed to get a pretty sweet deal on it so I couldn't be happier! Get to go pick her up on Tuesday..this is gonna be the longest 3 days ever!! So stoked!!!

Thanks!! I've actually gotta wait until next Tuesday because the dealer says she won't be ready until tomorrow, and I'm leaving on a business trip tomorrow AM until next Monday. So now I gotta wait a whole week!! But I guess what's one more week when I've been waiting years to get my Jeep. Anyways, you can definitely expect lots of pics when I do get her!!
