Radio problem/mystery

I don't have any kind of upgraded sound system in my Jeep...just the OEM AM/FM/Sirius/CD player. I've had all my AM buttons set for a while and somehow ? one of the buttons went to 530AM..the first on on the AM dial...and i can't seem to reset it to the station I want... I think/thought that once you are a station you want to keep you push Set then the number of the button you want... I've tried a few different combinations and it won't reset... There is not Memory button...just Set...

What am I missing here ? Color me techno challenged..

Have you tried just holding down the number of the button you want to set? That's how I have to do it in my car... I know it's not the same system as a Jeep. But, worth a try?

should just have to press the set/rdl button and then the numbered button that you want to set.

Thanks Deb, yes I did try that but it always defaults back to 530. I've studied the O manual too. ???

Not sure what you mean by 'rdl' button ? I woulda thought just getting the station up and playing, press set and numbered button... does not set that way ??

Yes, you are correct in how it "should" work. My set button has set/rdl. Yours may be different. The way you are describing how you are doing it is correct per the book. May be something up with the radio. My 2010 had a similar type of problem and they replaced under warranty.

Thanks for that. I was suspicious that it was something with the head unit. My Dodge truck has almost the same unit and it works as it should.

dumb question but are you sure you are not hitting the button twice. I think the radio has 12 preset stations. button 1 acts as button 7 also. If you never set button 7 then when you hit button 1 it would go to the first station you set and if you hit it again then it would go to the default which would be 530 am. Just a thought.
