I cut the wings on each side and trimmed the center part with dremel. Drilled 6 holes in plastic, drilled 6 holes in bumper. Used self tapping screws. Used the two rear mounts as were. Seems to work fine for now. Hope this helps needed to enhance one photo to see better color not correct

Anyone mount lights on top of the stinger on their bumper? I was thinking about adding some of the 8 inch KC Rally driving lights, but I'm not sure if it might be too excessive. I see some others have mounted their lights underneath the stinger, but I was thinking about mounting them on top.

Any pics?

Mounting my 4" HIDs in the rear corners today. They had sent 7"s accidentally. At first I wanted to keep the 7s and mount them up top- bigger is better right? But the HID rear housing is big- and with the stinger they stick way out on their own- looked goofy. (With a typical bumper lights sit more flush/near the grill.) WIsh I had taken a picture of the test mount. But IMO and of course KCs would be more flat and might look better. I know earlier in the thread there are some light pics but I don't think anyone has them up top.
Have to wait until it gets dark to see if 4s in the corner block the marker lights too much. (I have a winch so the center section is out). Pics later today.

The top is 8 inches from the edge.

Go down 1 inch.

The bottom is 7 3/8 inches from the outside edge.

I just went out in the horrible cold and measured to make sure.

I used a hand held saber saw to make the cut, going slow and using wd40 for lube, plenty of it to keep the blade cool. It worked well and I did not break a blade. Then a course wheel for cleanup, on a 4 inch grinder. about an hour of work. A faster cutting method would save some time.

Auto Shepherd dot com had then at the time. I just googled the part number. It has been about 6 months and it looks like the standard Forum supported places have them at a better price now.

Thank you for risking life and limb!
I hope to get it done soon....I have a feeling Santa will bring more Jeep parts so I don't know when I'll get this done. Still haven't started on the lights today. My electrician is determined to watch the end of the Bengals Steelers game. Why does every NFL game take 3 hours anymore? (Penatly, review, penalty, injured player, 2 minute warning, review, review of the 2 minute warning, time out, challenge, review).
I enjoyed football when they actually played.
Sorry- back to Jeeps.....

actually i had the oposite problem with my jeep, my rake was towards the back rather then raked front like most, with this it leveled it out perfectly! 2 1/2 months and a wheeling a trip and no sag

Thanks, much appreciated. I received mine today for Christmas and installed the bumper. It's awesome! I test fit the splash plate and wasn't happy with how far forward it had to go. It seems this bumper doesn't come out as far or maybe the stock plastic shroud covered it up. It looks good on yours, but I'd still prefer it to start a couple inches further back. I'm going to play with it some more and see if I can find a position I like. Otherwise I'll see if I can find a front skid that will work.

A word of advice for those installing this bumper. Be sure to have a deep 18mm socket. Mine was too shallow and I couldn't properly tighten the nuts. Going to pick one up tomorrow once the stores open. Not sure why there are so many 18mm bolts/nuts on the JK. Seems to be a very rare size for tools.

I'm not sure how to get a socket on the top nut behind the evap. It's really tucked in there. Anyone have any advice?

That looks really good, i hate to hassel you for side shots/different angles? I see alot of front view shots and it looks good but not any other angles of the whole jeep.

So, those with Rampage front and/or rear bumpers...how has the paint/finish been wearing? And, how strong are D-ring attachment points?

Sigh. Note to self/all: align reflectors in lights before tightening down and running all wiring. We got them done the same day- but failed to realize that we had the reflector shield in the wrong direction. (HIDs). Which meant I added vertical flood lights. Not so helpful. And they really only fit one way on the bracket so we took the light apart to turn it. And now it won't go back together.

(If there were a kicking myself in the butt smiley I'd add it).

The powdercoat on the front bumper I can attest is EXTREMELY strong. I havent seen a coating like this in a LONG time. I know, I know, made in China, but honestly, it is some of the toughest coating I have ever seen. I needed to hack up parts of the bumper to install my Zeon winch, and other than the cuts I was making, the coating didn't flake off ANYWHERE. I honestly have never seen that before. Anything I even used a dremel/grinder on, regardless of quality has flaked off a bit near the cut, but not this thing. I was supremely impressed.

Thanks. Very good to hear. What are folks' impressions about the shackle attachment points on the front bumper as well as the rear bumper and the strength of those points?

So here are the lights. Not very in your face but I like them. They do block my markers a little but you can still plainly see them blinking when in use. The only issue with HIDs for the bumper is the housing is large. Like I mentioned putting theses on top of the bull bar looked odd- especially with the stinger. a standard flat KC type would work better if you want lights on top. Just IMO. They are 4" HIDs- and there isn't a centimeter left for anything bigger. The difference when they are on is HUGE. I have a streetlight in front of my house and these are taken on my phone so this doesn't do it much justice. I can see twice as much with these on.
Having image load issues so one at a time I guess..

Won't let me upload multiple images for some reason. Sorry. Dweeb.
Hansen- haven't been tugged by my Drings yet but I was hit- and the Drings took the brunt. Small chip of paint came off but that's it. I would be very surprised if they wouldn't hold up to use. Welds seem very secure.

Picked the jeep up by them. Snatched other cars with them (sub freezing temps, brittle steel.) Was winched by them. Not even a budge. If you break these things off...

1) You would have broken them on ANY bumper on the market, and you should be glad that they broke otherwise you may have ripped your entire front end off.

2) You used WAAAYYYYY too much force.

Another question, for those of you with the stock setup with the bumper, how much droop did you get? These jeeps already come raked, all i need is more. >:[
I noticed some people say 1/4 inch?

Depends on your model. Softer springs will yield almost a 1" droop. Mine sagged about 3/4" and was fixed with the teraflex performance leveling kit. Now I added a 66lb winch and it sagged 1/4" again however, I am leaving it alone because when I get a rear bumper, the rear will sag and even out.

Wheels have nothing to do with sag.

My Sahara barely sagged at all with just the bumper, maybe an 1/8th of an inch. Add the 100 lb. winch though and it dropped to a total of a 1/4"
