Roughly 14" to the longest point on the bull bar. My winch is in the way- why i say "roughly".
Anyone put lights on the bar yet? I see Medics on the bumper- but I can't put mine there. Next stop...lighting thread.

Front is 14 and 5/8 inches from front of plastic grille to front edge of bull bar. Rear won't matter cuz of spare tire.

I know. First weekend I'm not shooting Packers this season, and they're in Houston. Coulda pigged out at Kata Robata, challenged a few Jeeps to a race in my rental car...

Heavy rain for the second straight day here at home. Figures.

I have the orange crush 2012 4 door. I am about to go ahead and order this bumper. Textured or gloss is my problem. I have the orange fenders. Not sure on which one would look the best. Any thoughts?

By shooting you mean with a gun or with a camera? People have strong feelngs about the Packers. LOL. Their last loss was painful.
It rained last week in So Cal. Some of my customers worked from home because of "the weather". Seriously.

Bad habit. I'm a photojournalist. When I was working for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch I once asked a Secret Service lady if I could get a specific vantage point to shoot W with a telephoto lens.

Oops. It wasn't well-received, though I did end up getting where I wanted to go.

Here, 1" yesterday, 2.17" so far today. Thank god I'm the boss, and work at home. Made the executive decision to take today off.

I am probably the only one on here with semi-gloss?? IMO it would be better against a painted fender- whereas textured matches better against plastic fenders. Also textured is easier to touch up- though you're touching up with paint against a thick powder coat so neither will be perfect if its a big chip (like mine). Most people prefer the textured. I am just odd.
Know there is not a seperate clear coat layer on the semi-gloss. That's why its not super-shiny. I figure in 5 years I'll probably have flat black anyways from the sun.
BTW: I assume you saw the orange Jeeps on the prior page?

Thanks. I did see the other crush on this thread. I was just not sure of which one to get . Having orange fenders and the rest of the black parts on the jeep factory. I think the semi-gloss would suit it fine.

Thanks guys for measuring. Since my jeep is still on order I'm not sure how much longer that is than the stock front bumper. A stock JKUR is 184.4 inches which I believe includes the spare. This bumper must add at least 6 or 8. Or am I way off.

The packers need to get their act together. Last week was painful.

I bought the textured. It matches the flares very well.

Can anyone give my man a measurement from plastic front of grille to front of bumper? Just stick a 4-ft level on that bad boy and read the tape measure.

He'll give you $100, he told me in a PM.

wiscosolid...hit him up.

I have the textured as well. Never like the glossy look. IMHO, and ONLY IMHO, it makes stuff look cheap.

A beautiful sight.

For lights, consider Rigid Duallys, or D2's. Hefty $$, but man...

Yours is what sold me on the bumper.

I love those artistic pics you posted in your fall colors thread.

Thanks man. Some folks appreciate things like that (see above for a blatant example of ungratefulness).

Kidding.

Hopefully, I'll be back here in a few weeks...

Just installed mine today (2012 Altitude). Tool me about 2 hours by myself.

I deliberated between the textured vs semi gloss for ages, but I finally decided to match my altitude wheels and the rampage door handles I installed. The semi gloss looks badass and matches flawlessly. I still think the textured is a better choice for most vehicles, but for my particular ride I like the semi gloss. Regardless, it's a bitchin bumper.

Interestingly enough there was no sag at all on the front end, it measured exactly the same height after install. I'll still install the teraflex leveling kit to get rid of the factory rake tho. Pictures here for anyone looking for semi gloss comparisons.

Ungrateful, moi? Now that I have an Spod with one stinkin' switch used I guess lights are in order. (I didn't order the SPod. Magically appeared at my doorstep via the "I Can't Modify my vehicle anymore so I am modifiying yours" fairy).
Looking at Delta lights cuz they're cheap and my skids and rockers just cost me a small fortune.
Be SAFE KB! We'll miss your in-depth analysis and sharp wit.
I'd like to take this moment to remark that I hate Payton Manning AND Norv Turner all at the same time.

This bumper is amazing, i may be partial but I think it is the best aftermarket bumper out their.

KBWWOLF, Im planning on getting some Dually D'2. Ive decided im not going to run a winch (ill get a hitch mounted one) so was thinking about doing 3 D'2s along the front where the plate would go, then two up at the windshield. Should give me enough light eh?

Refreshing, and hilarious, at the same time.

Payton Manning's a sound-bite weasel, and Norv...well. Loved him when he was a Cowboy. But, Norv, dude, ever heard of a place called Hueco Tanks? West TX, near El Paso. Shrimp live in the little pits in the rocks. Only place in the world. Just FYI...

As for the travel, I'll have a translator. Should be no problems, once I make him temporarily rich.

With that many lights, trust me, you'll cook a deer at a hundred yards. Just FYI, no fogs above the bumpers. Long range or driving lights only, which won't kill you with glare off the hood.

That's what I'm talking about. Almost bought the Pure Jeep's when I bought my lift (Full Traction sold em). Almost. Kinda wish I had, now. Interested to see how they look.

That sounds pretty sick. Funny, I was just looking at it thinking maybe new rockers should be on the 'one day' shopping list to carry through the semi-gloss theme.

Honestly I really just needed a step and a lot of newbie rock protection. I don't consider a tube a step. Pure Jeep also happened to come in semi.
They are bad a** and a couple hundred less than comparable rockers. (By that I mean boat type sliders; not those that mount to body bolts alone). There was a mix-up with hardware otherwise I'd have photos installed. Here is a teaser..
