Thanks Jaker.
A black grill is only $7 and a can of plastidip away. Smoked lights are a $5 can of nightshades away.

Agreed- unless you are in the land of gazzillions of people/cars/Jeeps per square inch. I've seen them for $50 on Craigs list- as a novice plasti-dipper I figure it will take a couple of cans. One of my headlights is already cracked so I need new ones...I think they call it "justification".

The headlights are not tinted they are crappy projectors with a black housing ( shield ) and clear lens

But yeah doing the grill under 10 bucks and some elbow grease

Anybody have a pic of these bumpers on a black jeep with painted fenders and hardtop? In trying to decide on semi gloss or textured finish.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to add that I will be putting on the ace rock sliders so the textured black might go well with the contrast the sliders are already creating against the paint. Thoughts?

Looks awesome! Can you do me a huge favor? Can you take a measurement for me...from the mounting holes of the FAIRLEAD on the winchplate to the top of the bull bar.

I am looking at buying this setup, but am afraid that the light will be directly lined up with the front bull bar....

just want to make sure it sits low enough to clear it. Thanks a ton.

Did you add the extra tubing to the rampage or is this an older discontinued model?

I think it's a completely different bumper. I saw it on some site but can't remember the manufacturer.

Really? you should check your facts before you make a comment like that.

Here is where the build thread is at and some pics.

Hah! Should have known. I thought that looked familiar. You don't have your locale listed- didn't think it could be the same place. I spoke to Steve when I first bought my Jeep. Wanted the "angry look" scowl design without the (giant) pre-runner. Figured a custom bumper would be too costly so I never went further. Never thought to have him add to the Rampage. Nice to know he does good work; maybe I'll have him fab a rear bumper. Love to use local (which Rampage is to me).

My deepest apologies for such an offensive "thought". I stand corrected and humbled by my ignorance. Hopefully the owner of the jeep will be more forgiving.

On the subject of this bumper; I have been having rust problems after only a month after getting it (for the second time for the rust reason) or what seems like rust. It originates from the holes drilled on the back of the bullbar

But the holes have screws in them but it still rusts around that area

Hey man sorry, just saw this. Mine has about 5". BUT, I don't have the original winch plate, mine sits about an inch and a qtr higher than it normally would! Hope that helps!

Damn, that might be cutting it close. I really don't want my rigid bar illuminating the back of the bullbar.

Dab some plastidip over the rivets and it should be ok, or maybe a bit or black silicone/rtv.

evap cannister

info needed-

For those of you which have this Rampage front bumper and later model year Jeeps '12 -->
it appears in some of the images taken on this thread that you did NOT have to relocate the evap cannisters - is this true, ?just bolt it on?

[I know some of the other brand name bumper manufactures I've searched are advocating relocating the evap cannister]

thanx in advance

This is true, I have a 12 and it was truly just bolt on! the hardest part was getting it alined correctly because the studs are "floating"

This. And I agree, I had to have two guys hold the bumper while I tried to align the bolts. I will say, it will probably be easier to install if you DO move the evap can but certainly not needed. I still might move it later down the road, it's just asking to get smashed that close to the ground.

I'm planning to use factory fogs for the front. Ordered the rampage fog light kit for the rear.

As the others said, factory fogs work well. Do note though that after market guards (like the rampage euro guards) don't fit as the fog light opening is larger then stock.
