Just got into town last night and the Rampage 86510 Bumper was here. Installed today. will post pictures in a bit. I was wondering what guys are doing about installing the plastic skid plate in front? I too was missing the bolts for winch plate. Called they are sending. The winch just got here Superwinch S-9000 like the covered look

My skidplate is installed in my basement, buring under a large pile of boxes.

I cut the plastic front skid and screwed it back on. Bumper fit was nice. No winch plate bolts called and mailed. Then I will add the Superwinch

It can be done with one person easier if you use a floor jack. You can move around easier. I put two nuts on one side and 2 on other side. Then the other 4

Oh you mean the air dam? That thing is not a skid plate. It ended up in the trash along with the top plastic piece.

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to get this bumper. Did most people get both the front and rear bumper at the same time? or does the Rampage Front bumper look decent with the stock rear bumper till funds are at the appropriate levels again.

Looks fine with the stock rear in my opinion. I'll be replacing my rear bumper with a tire carrier combo but have other mods I want to make first. Not in a hurry since no one has noticed and it doesn't bother me.

That is one mammoth winch. You don't have to worry about anyone stealing it- they'd need a front loader!

Superwinch S9000 model 17 most of it covered. Fit just fine. Drilled the holes out on the rampage bumper to line up with winch plate so would sit flat

Thanks, I eventually want to replace both bumpers. But doing one at a time obviously would help keep my wife from killing me in my sleep.

Can you please post pics of what you cut and where you mounted the plastic air dam? I'd like to put mine on, until I find or fab a metal skid. I like the air dam for keeping the down the splash height of water/mud in the engine compartment. At least I think it helps with that. Front of my engine has remained very clean.

Anyone have a side profile picture of the front bumper installed that they can share? I'd like to get an idea how far forward the stinger bars stick out. Thanks!

The stinger sticks out about 14 3/4 inches from the grill

Yeah it wasnt hard at all. The only issue I had was taking the plastic skid off. But once that was off I didnt have any problems. It would have been a one man job but I had a friend help.

EDIT - I didnt see any sag in the front nor did I notice any difference when driving. I bought a 2.5'' lift kit that I was hoping to get installed over xmas but looks like the 4x4 shop cant put it on until after the new year.

Looks great! Could you please measure your cut-outs for me? I also have the Body Armor and haven't gotten around to having mine cut-down. I was just going to white chalk mine but if I had a starter template if would help alot. (length from the end and height).

That looks great. It looks like it was made for the bumper. Definitely going to do this down the road.

We got ours from Morris. They have a forum discount.
Proxy?
Just keep in mind this is a thick plate. If you don't have the tools it'll cost you to have it cut down.

Mine finally arrived but with no winch plate bolts, and the winch plate is not countersunk on either side.

Also, mine has some fairly serious scratches on it, down to bare metal in a few spots. What is the recommended product to fix this? Just flat black rustoleum? Some kind of spray on bedliner?

I have the textured finish.

I used spray paint from ACE hardware. I'll check tomorrow to see if it was satin or flat. It matched perfectly.

Both Rampage and Pure Jeep recommended Krylon. They have it at ACE and Lowes.
I'd for sure let Rampage know about those scratches. One thing to have a slight imperfection- bare metal scratches are another.

I used Ace Rust Stop Black Satin and you can't even tell where I sprayed. It's a perfect match.

Ya, I emailed the info@rampageproducts.net email posted earlier in this thread.

Trouble is I am in Canada so it's pretty hard to get stuff like this shipped to me without some sort of problem. It was expensive as hell for the shipping, sucks to have it arrive in less than perfect condition as well.

We don't have ACE hardwares in Canada so I will have to try the krylon. Anyone know which exact type of Krylon you should use?

They have a rust stop in semi flat, flat or gloss black
http://www.krylon.ca/ca/eng/products...tative_enamel/

They also have a bunch of other lines to choose from.

That does suck (about the shipping problems; not living in Canada). I am still surprised- my bumper was packed in there snug as a bug. But I guess when it has to go all the way to Canada....
I think probably flat- but when Rampage emails you back ask them for a recommendation. I have the semi-gloss so what they told me won't apply.
Try a test spot on the back of your winch plate.

They emailed back today and said the semi flat black would work best.

They are also shipping out a new winch plate next week. Glad to see they stand behind their products with excellent support!

Thanks!
