Rampage Recovery Front Bumper question

This may have been asked somewhere else but I couldn't find it.
I really like this bumper but I'm curious if anyone knows how much the added weight will cause my front to dip? I plan on doing a lift at some point but not for awhile. Anybody put this on a stock JK? Does it severely alter the height of the front?

Here is the link
Rampage Products 86510 - Rampage Products Front Recovery Bumper for 07-12 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

Feel free to post some pics of this bumper, stock or not, would like to see how it looks on your ride

Start a live chat and ask how much it weighs. Simulate the weight (minus some with the current bumper) and check out how it looks.

What do you have for stock springs up front?

I would expect some sag with a lower rating.

Look into an inexpensive leveling kit. Some kits give you a bit more up front do added weight.

Or some factory 19's

Here is the wrangler in question. only 47k on it and 17.5k.
My question is what's up with the soft doors? I didnt think those came on the JK's as factory
holy highjack batman

Kidding .... OP you don't care do ya? Haha

But NO, soft doors are aftermarket. I going to assume the seller has the factory hard doors put aside.

Haha, nope I don't care. That post did kind if come out of nowhere though, lol

Edit: btw looks like Preston may have moved on but if he was talking about soft uppers with half doors then they could have come from the factory, right?

See post #11 in the link below for info on the Rampage bumpers. Weights are in that post, as well.

Depending on what spring rate your Jeep has, you'll probably lose ~ 1/2" or so from the weight. You can fix that temporarily (until you get your lift) by installing a TeraFlex leveling kit, which is only about $120, iirc. Good thing about it, when you get your lift, you should be able to sell the leveling kit to someone else for about 75% of what you paid.

Anyway, here's the link: Huge front bumper review thread

And some extra photos that aren't in the post:

On a 2012 Sahara, the front dipped 3/4". Bumper is phenomenal.

@preston777 idk how long you have been looking for a jeep, but I got a 2008 6-speed with 14k miles for $17,900. Just saying you might be able to find a better deal if you look more.

This is good advice, thanks. Unfortunately I don't have my Jeep yet so I can't actually try it out. I'm waiting for my order to come in so I'm doing what most others do during the waiting period, compiling a long list of mods. A new front bumper is very close to the top though!

Hmm..interesting Ill have to think about it. It does look awesome on your jeep though. I'm just not sure that I want all that weight. Maybe ill compromise and go with the stubby version
Rampage Recovery Mass-Articulation Stubby Front Bumper, Matte Black Textured Finish 88509

Amazon lists the shipping weight of the stubby at 68.7 lbs, as opposed to 134 lbs with the full width.

The full bumper, judging from the weight when I was installing it myself was around 75-80lbs.

The stubby has 90% of the metal that the full one has. The end pieces arent that big nor that thick.

Yeah, I think your right. I've gone back and forth on this but I'm prob going to just get the full width. Haven't decided on the leveling kit yet, I think I'm goin to see how it looks and then make a decision.

Do u have any pics of yours? Is ur jeep lifted? Thanks

The full-width front bumper is over 100 pounds with the winch mount. Shipping weight is 134 lbs.

No lift and stock wheels/tires for now. New comes coming, with a 1" lift as well.

Not the best pics, but those are the only ones I have of the bumper.

My '07 JKU was already lifted when I bought it so I can't speak to the type of springs, etc. I can say though, I've gotten no sag what so ever with the bumper (even with a winch).
Here's a side view.
