Sharp!!!

Remember 2 door JK owners there is a DIFFERENT P/N
RS66108BR5/9 (the 5 or 9 signifies the shock associated with the system.. get the 9000's. Trust me)
even if a site says fits 2/4 door.

Also a big Headsup, the 4wd parts catalog and possibly a few others catalog is listed as (RS66109BR 5.)

Regardless of 4dr or 2dr!

As Rancho mentioned, the part number changes to (RS66109BR 9) if you select the rs9k's. this could be one of the issues some of the guys are having with the rear spacer size. My .02.

Talking

If you have a 2 door get the P/N with the 8 in it.
No matter what a sales guy or website says.

We did the install last night on my wife's 2013 Sahara. Here's the finished product. Of note, I need to get a front shock replaced. One of the nuts and some metal crap in the threads, looks like something molten dropped in it. Well, it stripped out the shock bolt and we had to put a stock shock back on.

I've included pictures of that as well. Rancho, can you help me out there?

Looks like it got threaded on off thread. Hopefully Rancho can help you fix it!

Of note, I also replaced my wife's rear 55 springs with 58 springs and the Rancho 1.75" spacer for 2DRs. Remember, the rear spacer has to be stacked with the OE isolator to be level.

Here's the lift numbers:

Front - 18.75" and change to just shy of 21.25" at the front pinch seam
Rear - 19" to 21.25" at rear pinch seam

Perfect!

After I installed my 2" Rancho lift I replaced my rear 58's with 60's and also replaced the rear 3/4 spring spacers with 1 3/4 spacers. Then added 3/4 spacers up front along with the springs Rancho supplied with the lift. Then installed the exhaust spacer kit. Sits up on 33's 35's would work also but already bought the 33's when I ordered the 2" lift. Next thing ya know I just started experimenting from there. Trying to get the alignment right now.

sgtkersh, got your PM. Let me see what needs to get done.
PMed you back as well, just a heads up Fridays can be a little slow in a response as my contact(s) are often traveling to an event for the weekend.

Newbie here with some questions. 3 months with my 2008 X 2dr and I'm itching to start burning money! I read through all of this and most of the 3" posts as well. I have decided on the 2" lift given all the good things I have read here. I may even get overly ambitious and attempt the install myself!

1) I know it's been discussed here but if I go with 285x70x17's on my stock 17 rims (2008 2 dr X), will they fit without mods or the need for spacers? Don;t really want to run spacers if I don't have to.
2) How do you find out what type of springs you have (14, 15, 16 on front or 58, 59, 60 on rear)?
3) Just in case I am not feeling so ambitious, does anyone have an installer in Northern NJ that will install?
4) Best price I have found for the 2dr kit is 418 on 4WD.com. Anyone seeing better?

Welcome, and here you go.

Your tires should fit with this lift without the need for spacers.

2) How do you find out what type of springs you have (14, 15, 16 on front or 58, 59, 60 on rear)?
There is a tag on the spring with the part number. You want the last two numbers of the part number.

3) Just in case I am not feeling so ambitious, does anyone have an installer in Northern NJ that will install?
Sorry, I'm in Alaska so can't help with a NJ installer. But I will say it's worth doing yourself to learn how your suspension works.

4) Best price I have found for the 2dr kit is 418 on 4WD.com. Anyone seeing better?
Amazon beats it and ships for free. There is a link in the first page of posts on this thread.

Mike I believe that link on page 1 is for the 4dr kit. I did not see the 2dr (number 8) kit on Amazon.

Am I messing something up?

Last I heard they/we were working on this. Not too how long until it gets its only SKU/number.

Mark,
You are right, the Amazon link is the 4 door kit.

Amazon doesn't currently offer the 2 door kit to my knowledge.

That is the goal. Been trying to get them to get the 2 door P/N correct and remove the 2 door on the 4 door P/N.

Rebate?

Has anyone actually received the $100.00 rebate from buying the 2" Sport lift?
I submitted the rebate on March 28 and according to the Tenneco/abcincentives web site it has not been audited yet.
I would think 5 weeks is plenty of time for them to acknowledge they have received the required information.
I sent an email April 19 inquiring about the rebate and have not received a reply.
I'm beginning to wonder... rebate or marketing scam

Usually takes 8 or so weeks. You have a copy of all your receipts, correct? Keep me posted. Sometimes the clearinghouse will have an issue with a form, it is often a PO box for an address or a number is transposed.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered the lift through Amazon so I have the email conformation of the order. I sent the packing slip in as proof of purchase.
It's frustrating that Tenneco/abcincentives has failed to respond to my email inquiry. I know it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks for rebates and I'm fine with that. I just expected a "we have (or not) received your documentation and are processing your rebate" or some form of acknowledgement.
I am satisfied with the 2" Sport Lift, even without the rebate I think it is great and a great deal and I would not hesitate to purchase or recommend Ranco.

Lift on, back end low

Got the lift on last week, tires on last night. Easy install, good quality. I have the 55 springs on back, and is too low. Drove last night, high beams pointing to the moon. What do I need to get it leveled out in back? Haven't followed this thread since March.

Also, steering seems a little numb now. Running 295/65/18 Duratracs on 7-spoke Sahara rims with Synergy 1.5" spacers all around. Just cannot feel the road like before. It had 31-10.50-15 on MT rims dished out same track width as new rims with spacers.

Just need to know how to get an inch or two in the back. Ride is pretty good with 9000 shocks set on 3.

Edit- Just realized that Amazon sold me the lift for the JKU even though I entered my model in the order system. Can I get the correct rear spacers for my JK?

I have a spare set of Rubi unlimited springs in the garage, may give you what you need.
Send me a pm if interested.
