Most use the higher range off road or for towing, and the lower range on road. Higher range equals more dampening, i.e. stiffer shock but more control in the rough stuff.

Bigger/heavier tires and wheels etc need more dampening control as well as high speed offroad driving and towing.

For crawling I use the softer setting to let the axles flex.

I ordered the kit from amazon and submitted the rebate on 4/5/13 it is now 6/21/13 so I called Tenneco and the rep tells me that it will be at least 2 more weeks. They are overwhelmed with the number of rebate requests that they received. I guess I just don't understand why that is my problem. Ahhh I'm done venting. I guess I should have seen this coming.

Yep. I ordered mine in March and submitted the rebate then. Tenneco's website shows they received it on 4/26 and audited it on 5/23. It's been showing 'Payment In Progress' since then.

Mailed 5/3, finally showed up online with a submitted date of 6/5. I'm sure the speed of processing is related to how much Tenneco is paying ACB to process this, but I'm ok with waiting. And I know where the rebate will go when it finally arrives... right back into the Jeep.

Question to you guys. I'm pulling the trigger on Amazon for $408. However it's 3-5 weeks back ordered. Will the rebate still qualify for June 30th date when rebate ends?

Check 4 wheel parts, just got it from them today for $405 + tax. Amazon charges tax in TX, so it was actually cheaper for me. I cancelled my Amazon order that I placed earlier this week and should be able to pick up at my local store next week to avoid shipping, too.

Cool, thanks. This place is local so I can pickup.

So it was determined what front spacers were missing from my kit. However, they are out of stock until maybe July. I have to call back to check then. Why can't they just put an order in the system and ship them to me, rather than making me hunt them down?

Also, how are they assembling new kits if none of these spacers exist? Is that why mine were missing, and they just hoped I wouldn't notice or care?

Mine didn't use front spacers? Front springs, rear spacers, bump stops, and new shocks all around.

Hi Everyone, new member here. I just finished installing this kit and JKU looks awesome. I did make a mistake when installing the rear spacers, I forgot to install the OE isolator on and only installed the new spacers, when i was done the wife and kids said that the rear looked lower than front...DOH needles to say this morning took rear apart and installed the OE and now jeep looks level. thanks everyone for all your comments on previous post.

Thumbs up Finally installed!

got the lift installed a couple of weeks back. Looks and feels great1 Just can't wait to get the 33's on now! Forgot to measure prior to lift but I now have 20 3/8 inches with stockers (17) at the pinch seams.

One thing I forgot to do is apply threadloc to all bolts while replacing (end links, trackbar, etc). Is this a problem? Should I go back and apply?

Love the kit!

Hi Matt (Rancho) could you find out if it is okay to not run the front bump stop extensions.

I am running the stock rubicon tires and would like some more flex if possible.

Thanks

I installed the lift last weekend on my '13 JKU Sport S with Max Tow and Spidertrax spacers, and I replaced the stock tires with Cooper ATP's 285/70-17's yesterday. Pretty happy with the results, which are attached! I was concerned that I'd see/feel "porpoising" due to the mismatch in the springs, but none has been apparent. Of course, the shocks are a HUGE improvement over stock Sport shocks. I'm looking forward to taking it off road this weekend.

Stopped by 4 wheel parts today. Placed order, but they are on back order from Rancho. Said they would call me tomorrow with expected date.

I have Max Tow like you so glad someone was able to post pictures with my exact setup. Max Tow has stiffer springs on the rear. Curious what your overall lift height was. What are you sitting at now? Level or just a tiny bit of rake?

^4wp completely sucks. Everything is always on backorder. I waited about a month and a half for my kit to come in (back in 2010).

I ordered parts during the sales event (06/09/13) and I'm still waiting.

1st time I let it slide since i got free install. Once I receive my order, that'll be the last time I step in their doors.

sgtkersh, thank you! BacaraJKU, my rear springs are 59's with Max Tow + Hardtop. In all honesty, I didn't do any measurements before or after the lift. That said, I'm sitting pretty much level now with perhaps a tiny bit of rake. At any rate, the rear is definitely NOT higher than the front.

No hurry as its sitting in the box for a few months until I have my wheels. I just wanted to get it ordered so I get rebate. They had it on sale through today as well so price was the same as Amazon. Amazon is back ordered 3-5 weeks as well.

That will just about be my typical luck. I haven't heard from my local shop yet on my parts, but last week they said they should have been here today. I planned on just stopping by and picking them up tomorrow, but after seeing this I guess I better call first

I've got everything lined up to do this on Saturday and if this is not in, I'm going to be a little pissed to say the least. Hope this works out.....

Hmm.. with all these places on back order now I am glad I got my kit when I did. You just cannot beat it after the MIR. Lift cost me $275 total after all was said and done and was easy to install myself at home.

What away bar end links are people using with this? I've still got my stock ones on, but my swaybar is at about a 19 degree down angle and I believe it should be level

vacca_foeda, I'm using the Teraflex QDC's. The swaybar is pretty much level now, though it was canted up until the lift.
