Here is a few pics of the jam nut issue with the front trackbar. You can see on the nut where it rubbed the bracket. Had a lil dw as well, so replaced the trackbar with the stock one and it cleared up that issue.

You would think that someone (cough, Rancho, cough) would come out with an explanation such as, " If your JK is xx year, and your trackbar is xxx long, you will need the custom track bar." Or something like that....

Not feeling warm and fuzzy about that kit.....

Just sayin.....

I know what you mean. I started this thread looking for people who had the kit because I was ready to pull the trigger and order it. But now that I am hearing of issues, is am hesitant about spending the money on it. But the rebate lasts till June 30th, so hopefully Rancho will have an answer/explanation of what happened in the quality assurance/test fitting department.

There are less than 12 kits that have this "off" track bar. The stock track bar will work. If you have an issue, as already shown, we will fix it.

That helps set the mind at ease

I get an extra check this month, so within 2 weeks I will be deciding which kit I am going with. I am about 95% sure I will be getting this one!

Thanks again Rancho for the feedback, much appreciated!

Thats nice and all...but if I place an order, its wait and see... not liking that at all.
Would be nice to be able to look at some indentifying trait of my vehicle to PREdetermine if its going to be an issue.

So help me understand. The track bar fits but at its shortest adjusted length, the jam nuts rub the bracket ?

Adjusting it longer fixes the issue but over corrects the axle over to the driver side ?

Here's my RK rear with TF bracket.

It's not a huge concern for the rear axle to be centered right away. Nothing is going to happen.
More important, when you hit that 3" [or more] is roll center. This is achieved by raising the axle mount.

Ideal set up would be using a rear bracket to raise roll center back to stock - or slightly more,
And a adjustable track bar to center the axle.

Raising the axle mount also centers the axle some. That's why some kits just use the bracket. It really depends on what you get for final height.
Ex. My upper hole actually shifts the axle too far,
Maybe 3/8 or so. I installed my RK TB to perfectly center the axle.

With either the Rancho or Tereflex lift, has anyone ran into problems with the front driveshaft interferring with the exhaust pipe?

It will hit, I have the Rock Krawler 2.5" lift with the exhaust extension and it still hits at full drop. I might need to try something else.

Took the JKU over some Green Mountain Natl Forest snowmobile trails and forest roads this weekend. Lift is smooth as butter. I'm extremely impressed and still have no regrets about choosing this kit, even considering the issues and extra time it took to figure things out with the track bar. New bar is great, jam nut still tight and the jeep will ride perfectly straight down with hands off the wheel.
One thing I did screw up with came to light after having some weight in the jeep. The rear passenger side bump stop definitely has to be mounted a certain way. It HAS TO be mounted leaning forward. I installed mine with the angled block angled towards the rear. The rear upper track bar bolt will hit the bump stop and had a number of times before I figured out what it was. No biggie, turned the stop around and no more issue. Just wanted to share. Offroad this lift is tight. No shakes, rattles, squeaks, etc. adjustable 9000xl's are worth every penny.

After having this kit in for a week, I was able to take it for along ride to vermont today. The ride is so close to stock, it is unbelievable. The new track bar came in yesterday and had it in within 10 mins.

If your on the fence about this lift, honestly i wouldnt hesitate. I have had this off road also and its handles great. If you have an issue with your trackbar, Ranch will make it right.

Sorry for delayed replay...Rancho is sending me a new track bar to correct the issue with the front. When it gets here I'll let you know how it goes. I have been running the stock track bar for the time being. I drive like 6 miles a day so it hasn't been too big of a deal.

As a whole rancho's costumer service has been very good through the issue and they have been helpful. I'd buy the kit again if i had the option.

If you have a 2012 or newer you'll need the exhaust spacer. You can pick one up on Ebay for 30 bones shipped. Just an fyi those bolts are a pain to get to make sure you soak them in pb blaster. I snapped one during my install.
