Rancho 3" Sport Lift

Is anyone running the Rancho 3" Sport lift with the 9000xl shocks? I got my Quadratec mag and I see they are offering $300 off the kits (rebate/gift card) so it would end up going for $783.

Is this a good deal?

Shocks alone make the lift.

You have a link ?

I was thinking about pulling the trigger this weekend on it. But wanted to know if anyone else runs this kit. I have heard such great things about the 9000xl shocks, and now I'm torn between this kit, and getting a 2.5 TeraFlex coil kit minus shocks and adding in the XL9000's.

Did you see the 2" thread ? They all seem to be happy. The 3" kit takes it a step further and adds the rear coils-taller obviously. The front track bar is a key component too. With the rebate just too good to pass up.

Yes I read through all the pages on the 2" which is why it made my choice harder. I was just going to get the 2.5 TF kit with shocks and call it a day. But everyone is raving about the Rancho 9000's and their ride quality and adjustability. So now I am torn and need to make a decision...

OK, thanks. So the kits are within $30 of each other but I see the Rancho kit has a track bar and the TF kit does not. I am going to make my decision by Sat and pull the trigger on one of them!

Mines getting installed Friday.Everything I have read said no need for a trackbar with this lift as the springs are made for 2.5" of lift on a JK.

FYI,
You can get the Rancho 3" sport kit without the shocks from Amazon.com for $515 with free shipping. That's only $215 after the $300 rebate. You have to buy the shocks at the same time to qualify for the rebate. It adds up to $891 to buy the lift and shocks from Amazon, then with the rebate, you are down to $591 shipped.

If you are planning on running 35 in tires or bigger, you will want a more heavy duty track bar. I was amazed how much the stock track bar flexed when turning the wheel with large tires. TF has a video demonstrating this. Worth taking a look.

I've heard a few people on here say they got their gift cards in about 30 days after submitting them.

It comes with an adjustable track bar:

The new 100% bolt on 3" Sport System from Rancho fits up to a 35" tall tire using the included front and rear coil springs. Features also include a front adjustable track bar and rear track bar bracket to perfectly locate your axle under the frame. Front sway bar links are included along with front and rear bump stop spacers, front stainless steel brake lines and rear brake line brackets.

Yeah, I just saw that. That's good. One other question, maybe the Rancho person ca answer. Why no rear sway bar links? Are the stock links long enough for this lift?

Interesting, per the install instructions they have you drill a new hole in the axle shock mount for the rear sway bar link.

See pages 9 & 10.

I just now seen that. It's got me a little worried now. When I hear the words "100% Bolt On" I take it as there is not drilling or grinding, but guess I am wrong.

Looks like once again, my decision is up in the air about what kit to get...

Even the 2" kit wasn't 100% bolt on. You had to drill and tap mounting holes for the front bump stops.

Don't sweat it. Look at it as an excuse to buy new tools.

I am also on the fence between the Rancho and the Teraflex...
I will not be doing the install myself. I am sure my mechanic is going to charge more to install the Rancho than he would the Teraflex so I have to weigh that in the cost.

I am in the same boat. But the more I think about it, you really can't beat that price!! The $300 off sale last till June 30th.

Usually around 6-8 weeks.
The closer we get to the end of the rebate time frame, the longer it takes.

Will the 3" kit require drive shaft replacement?
