rattle with automatic trans at low rpm

Ok, I am new here, but I am on my second Jeep. A TJ now a JK. I have had my 2008 JK for about five months. I purchased after my TJ rolled over on me in in median of interstate on an icy morning going to work. THe last about week, I have noticed a rattle when going up a hill at low rpm. If i give her some gas, the rattle goes away but it's driving me crazy! Any ideas before I take her to the shop? THanks so much in advance!

Eric

Rattle

I have a rattle also. I have a 2007 JKUR auto and the rattle sounds like a heat shield. I haven't messed with it yet. Only had Jeep about a month.

I would check everything underneath..heat shields etc...there is also a thread on the rattling condensor/heator lines that are behind the gove box.

Ok I've looked around, tried to move head shields away. Any ideas of what I need to be looking for? Rattle still going on.

Rattle still there, with doors off, it almost seems to be on drivers side. If I remember, this has started since I got the oil changed. If they put wrong consistency of oil, could this cause it? Sorry, I'm just clueless. Have messed around over and over and can't find anything loose. Heat shields not rubbing that I can see. I put something between the metal pipes behind glove box.

There is a heat shield on the exhaust Y pipe that runs under the transmission. You're gonna have to crawl right under there to check it. Check to see where the weld came loose and Put a gear clamp around it and that will solve your problem.
