Ready to Lift/ AEV or TF / spacer or suspension

Hello, I am ready to make the lift...
AEV- 2" spacer is what I am leaning toward or TF
AEV rep. convinced me it is the way to go for 33's( what I going to end up with )

both are about $200-250..

any reason I should not do this? and just get a suspension lift 2.5"
very unlikely to end up with 35's ever. 33's will be it ( wife drives it more as the DD )

Just curious on real-world thoughts...
any help is greatly appreciated...
doors and top off today! its 100deg and loving it!!!! / just need the "look" now

Either would be fine IMO. Either the leveling TF which gives you 2 up front and 1 in the back or The AEV BB 2" will be perfect for 33's. You do know you can fit a 33" tire without a lift, if that's the plan

Thanks. I really wanted a slight lift and 33's x 12.5 x 17" Rugged Ridge wheels / Just wasnt sure if the extra money would make a difference lift or spacer for what I was going for

Need new wheels for 33s unless you want to rub on turns. FYI.

Any of those kits are fine. I would go with one. 2 inches doesn't sound like much but it makes a huge visual difference.

thanks - that is what I am hoping for..
not sure if the TF is better than the AEV or not.
I am leaning toward the AEV brand.. but wanted to know what benefit would i get with a full 2.5" TF lift the basic 2"coil spacer at $250, versus about $500-$700

Im getting ready to pull the trigger later this week on a TF 2.5" coil kit with shocks, JKS quick disco's and 1.5 spydertrax spacers. Why you ask? I love the look the TF coil kit gives (about 3-3.5") with a 2DR and it offers the best suspension travel versus a spacer lift.

But since you are all for looks, a spacer lift would suit you great.

thanks..
you very likely get to utilize the lift in the mountains.. more than all this flat land out here near chicago.. only time I get to play off-road is by the steel mills and in the snow..

If you do 15" or 16" wheels you'll be able to get cheaper tires. Just a thought.

Thanks - I wanted to get the slight lift and over the winter look for some 33's .. might look for a 16x9 / but likely end up with a 17x9 (33x12.5x17-tire)

I am just guessing but it seems like the AEV or TF are pretty much the same spacer lift

AEV-rep. said the spacer kit is perfect if you want factory ride, level and 33's

TF- suggested full lift 2.5" can go to 33's or 35's
The lift gives you 3.1" in front and about 2" in back

i really want the full lift, but being a DD for my wife who is short... I will likely get the AEV spacer kit first.. at least its only $200 or $250 versus 700 or 800
the AEV will give the space needed..

lift

Finally got my aev 2" kit installed. Raised the jeep about 2" all around, although it is supposed to be 2 in front 1 in rear. Pics posted one of these days. $340 installation cost which included alignment. The kit was $259. My jeep still has a slight forward rake the front being a half inch lower than the rear. Pretty satisfied. The shop that installed told me aev is a bunch of ex-jeep engineers so that was comforting. Good luck.

Just wondering if the TF 2.5 coil spring lift with shock extensions gives you 3 to 3.5 inches as well? And if so are there any other mods I'll have to do? 2008 Sahara completely stock as of now ( except for a stubby bumper and the grill insert mod)

I just recently purchased the AEV 2" Spacer Suspension System myself. I have heard good reviews on AEV products so that's why I went with that. Hopefully I will be able to put it on at the end of the week. Waiting on my rims and tires to come in so I can do it all at once.

That makes AEV even better in my eyes haha. Good to know, thanks for the insight.

I finally had time to install my AEV 2" coil spacer. Installation was pretty easy, and went smooth ( of course, having access to a lift helped ) . took about 2hours.

next will be better shocks, wheels 33's ,stubby kit and possibly new gears 4.88 or 5.13 / .. not sure which order this will happen at But The AEV lift was very nice, well put together and love the look ( 2" front, 1" rear )
rides the same..

first pic is the before, second 2 are after

A full AEV 2" suspension lift? That's what I'm talking about...I might wait it out, but looking at your jeep and the bump you got from the spacers, I think that's a great way to go for the money!

Looks great!

I'm waiting the 2 inch AEV spring/shock lift due in early Dec and about the same time TerraFlex's 2.5 inch spring lift should no longer require the exhaust mod. TF state that they will be limiting the shocks. I'll see/compare the two systems and if RK has an offering, that too, of course.
