Rear Console Storage

OK....I know this might sound silly but could someone please tell me how to open the rear storage in the "trunk" of my 2011 Jeep? I can't figure it out for the life of me. I know it lifts up, but seems to be catching on something. Is there a latch of some sort that I need to press?

Thanks and Happy Jeepin'!

Not sure about the 2011 since it might be a little different, but my 2009 has a loop thing laying down flush on the left side. I have to lift it up straight and turn it, then the "lid" lifts up. You should have something similar.

I don't have mine yet, but I seem to remember tie down loops that twisted and slid through the slot.

That should beit--

The cargo cover is underneath the buckle and the little "Twist" loop, like Daggo says is right at the edge of my carpet--lift turn 90°--goes right thru the slot !!

Yeah, that's it, right in the middle in the front. I was thinking the side because that's where it is on my wife's Liberty. The Liberty cover is pretty cool because it comes off and is reversable. It has a plastic cover that you could sit muddys boots or something on.
